hi,

can someone tell me what fees thaey have had to pay on completion.

we have been told different versions by our agent, so i would be grateful if someone who has completed, can email me with the info.

i understand that if there is a mortgage, you have the iva on the mortgage cost.

i also know that there is notary fees, etc

but can someone tell me what all they had to pay, taxes, etc

and some idea on how much it actually adds up to.

many thanks

Hi. On the day of completion it cost us nearly 6000€ they did not list everything for us as our solisitor went to the notary. Yes you pay more if you have a mortgage as we have.

Kind Regards Steve & Jackie

Hi Dee, it will depend on how your agent and solicitor handle it, just be aware you may have to pay for an interpreter on the day (our solicitor looked after it) and you will be charged about 500+ euros on the day to pay for masa's land tax.

Give your agent a call and go through these things.

Hope this hhis helps a  little.

All the best, its not as daunting as it sounds

Chris & Sandra

Hi Dee & Scott,

Can't lay my hands on the breakdown of the individual figures, but the extra payments which we had to make when we signed, amounted to 3500 euros for our Albatros, and will be 3600 for our Open, when we sign for it. These funds are for the Notary, Land Registry and Plus Valia tax, to be paid at the signing, either by local Spanish cheque, made out to 'Hijos de Justo y Manoli', or by cash (as always used to be the case, I believe).

There is also an additional payment for Water & Electics connection of 360 euros, usually to either your Rep or Solicitor, who will complete the forms and make the payment on your behalf.

The plus valia tax is the 'land tax' due on the capital gain made by GrupoMasa when they sold the land on (to us buyers).

Kind regards,

John B.
