I spoke to someone from Polaris World customer services yesterday after asking for a general update in relation to the golf suites.
The golf suites are the next phase due for commencement. If they haven't already commenced construction on these it will commence in the very near future. In terms of numbers sold - apparently there are only a handful left. The golf suites are expected to sell out faster than all other developments as they represent a sound investment.
I asked about expected completion dates. I was told that the completion date is still as forecast i.e. second half of 2009, however, many of the developments are being completed ahead of schedule. I suspect once work commences on the golf suites they will fly up pretty quickly given the size of the apartments.
I also asked about Bank Guarantees. I have not received a guarantee for my first stage payment. These will be released as soon as possible (the Jardines, Isla, etc are being dealt with first). I will not make my next stage payment until I have received the Bank Guarantee for the first payment. I am hopeful that the delay in making the second payment will give the pound a chance to recover against the Euro to some extent. When I made my first payment the exchange rate was 1.457!

We bought on Golf Suites and read all the feedback from Jardines and Naranjos every day - great to be able understand what's going on from all the other buyers - I know our phase is not due till end of 2009 ,but, I spoke to PW cust.service last week and asked (again) what was latest status - I was surprised when they said that they were still waiting fror "certificates local authorities" ????? before they could commence any work on Golf Suites phase - I would have thought that with the general 'downturn' in the markets they would be wanting to build everything they have sold as fast as they can - does any one else have any other info about Golf Suites ?? - c ya soon (I hope)

Have heard very little in relation to the Golf Suites. My main concern is not having received my bank guarantee for my first stage payment. However, this has also worked in my favour as at the time I was due to make my second stage payment the exchange rate was at it's lowest. It's been rising steadily since so I am not planning to chase the guarantee just yet.
Anyone else still without bank guarantee(s)? Having read the other threads in relation to Condado I am quite happy to continue as things currently stand.
"Certificates from local authorities" does seem a little strange. But given that stages of the development have recently been completed it would seem that the authorities have given the go ahead for the resort (whether this is for the whole planned resort or not I don't know).
When building does commence on the Golf Suites, given their size I would imagine the time period to completion will be reasonably short.

Hi all,
I too am still waiting for the bank guarantees to show up despite several attempts by my solicitor to extract them from PW. It's realy no consolation that he tells me not to worry. I made my second stage payment over a month ago.
PW website still shows 144 suites for sale - this is 5 MORE than was showing in mid May!!

Keeve - try www.polarisgolfproperties.uk - on that site, at the bottom of the page, they list all the different Polaris sites - select "Golf SuitesCondado" and it displays properties for sale - select "more information" about (any) apartment and it gives you different plans, etc, including a layout of all the different 'blocks' on Golf Suites - hope this helps - let u know if I come across anything better - c ya

Ive added a scanned image to the photo section. Its from the pack we got when we reserved. It shows thw BLOQ numbers but not the apartment numbers unfortunately. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the image. My suite is directly to the right of the pools, 0903, ground floor, with views over the lake (fingers crossed!!!).
Patony, could you please confirm the link - I can't connect, and I've tried similar addresses .....co.uk ........com ......propertyuk.com etc, without success.
When I manage to get this together, I'll print it off and stick pins in the suites of those of us who have gone public. If you're into voodoo, please disregard this message!!
Anyone intending to be resident? We're not, but it's never too soon to be thinking about homecare/keyholding services.

Can you read the images ok? I tried them & they arent very sharp.
Voodoo? I get pins & needles occasionally? Does that count?
I tried Patonys link. Didnt work here either.
We are buying on Condado as long term investment/ holiday home but definately intend to move to Spain eventually but probably not on Condado.
How about anyone else?

Like you, and probably most, our purchase is intended as an investment / holiday bolt hole. If PW come across with the promises made at launch, then there should hopefully be a fairly steady demand for short term rental properties like these. As you've probably seen on the main Condado forum, changes have already been made to the masterplan, but at least there's little to change on this development.

Afetr many e-mails to PW from myself and my solicitor, I received a call from 'Customer......... 'Services'' yesterday regarding the missing bank guarantees. Apparently, PW get them in batches from the bank, but don't know when the next batch will be received. Neither do they seem to have any measured way in distributing them. My response was that if I conducted business that way I'd be sacked the same day. You're not going to believe this, but silence ............

Think we'll hang on and hope for 1.35 early next year - although best news we could have in near future would be that PW have actually started on GS site sometime in December with completion in summer '09 - fingers still crossed - c ya
