RYANAIR WINTER FLIGHTS

We have just been advised by OVP that there was considerable delay between the builder and the company installing the meters at the property which accoring to OVP are now resolved and meters will be installed by now.  Letters were all delayed coming out because no one knew what the heck was going on.  Now that there is light on the subject of Hacienda Guadalupe everyone will be happy to get their furniture packs and try and make some money renting out the properties through OVP Travel.  If you are lucky you will make about Euros 2000 per annum having paid all your bills, which include 25% tax to the government even though you are not resident there, taken at source,  metering bills, community bills, maintenance, OVP bills, keyholding, etc.  Oh and if you are unlucky and have a mortgage onf these properties don't think your rent will cover it because it won't!! 

Fully agree with you, Carolfrayne, that things are going to be difficult for everyone who has completed here on this development, particularly if you intend to rent out to cover costs. It also looks as though you personally have the double problem of owning a property on Manilva Beach development as well.

 Is everyone out there happy with the 'finished' product or are there those who feel that the whole development is a great disappointment and nowhere near what was sold to us in the first place?  Where's the gym, where's the dishwasher, the marble work surfaces, etc?  Definitely a bad move coming across O..P, and don't think the travel section will be any better.!  The perils of buying 'off plan' are now evident - buy ready built on well established developments and research thoroughly.  Isn't hindsight wonderful?

Added to all the other problems at HG we are now told they were not pre-installed for air conditioners and that Manilva Beach has also not been without problems because conduit under floors and walls were not suitable to run cables through and ceiling have had to be dropped in order to put the Air Handlers above kitchens or bathrooms.  Builders have had to come back in to fix tiles to floors and fix walls where lines had to be run.  What a nightmare it has been for everyone.  Like most people I wish I had never set eyes on OVP.  I think Esther Rantzen could do a good story on this subject.  Maybe she has already.
