After reading the article in 'THE SUNDAY TIMES' does anyone, who has bought properties on the ARENAL GOLF, BENALMADENA, development, have any information on or experiences with MRI. (Good or Bad).

1) Was your intention to buy off plan, then were forced to keep the property?

2) Were you guaranteed rental income, which never materialised.?

3) Has your experience of buying abroad with MRI been a success!

Hi

We bought property through MRI  and we have been forced to keep it rather than sell it due to changes in market conditions in Spain. They promised a great deal but the profit has not materialised. We will now attempt to rent them out as much as possible and sell on in the future.

Whilest MRI could be blamed for promising to much i feel that to a certain extent they are to victims of the downturn in the market as we all are!

Overall they are not a bad company who have exajerated their claims to much!

Best wishes

  Hurricane

Iam not surprised that they were prepared to offer this kind of service when you see what their cut of the sale is, 7% plus, or put another way €20,000 plus. Wouldn't it be better if we bought direct from Arenal and got this as a discount?

we purchased off plan in Marbella with MRI and had no issues at all, the sale and completion went without a hitch. The after sales side however left a lot to be desired so we ended up ignoring the service they provided and doing it ourselves. we also bought into Arenal phase 3 at the same time we purchased in Marbella with the intention of selling before completion and we had no end of trouble getting MRI to do anything. We had no activity from them from March through to august 2006 despite numerous visits to their offices and then we were faced with completion looming in October.Only at the 11th hour did MRI start to put their sales team into gear, however we are still without a buyer and have yet to complete, so this says it all.
