British Schools in Spain

Good news at last, the long awaited license has now come through and the developer is going to do a big advertising campaign for the development.

Our office is on site and we have already seen a small increase in interest over the last couple of weeks as people have heard that the license was imminent. We manage and have placed 27 long term rentals with 3 more going through this week and manage 6 more short term rental properties, we currently have a couple of sales that are going through also. If anybody would like to contact us please e-mail.

Hopefully things will start moving now we have the license, we have also heard that the long awaited golf course is now going to be started (fingers crossed) because if this is true it can only be good for the urbanisation.

 INFORMATION BACK FROM MY SOLICITOR

This is not exactly 100% true.  They have been taken to court and the judge in Malaga awarded the developer the rights to enforce the client to complete as the first occupancy licence has not been rejected by the town hall so by default under the Spanish law it is deemed to be granted after three months!

 

If they have the licence I'd love to see a copy of it!!!!

If you go to the Sifasa office they have advised they can show you a copy of the license, copies are being sent to the lawyers as we speak, I can give you the telephone number of the office if you would like to phone and confirm.

I would say so - we saw the adverts in the Sur in English last week put in by the developer so maybe things will start to happen now.

My Solicitor in Marbella has 2 documents from the Town hall in Marbella saying that the FOL was rejected on two occasions.

so if Sifasa has now got the FOL  throw a judge in Malaga then does this mean that the Town hall in Marbella

has no saying in what is right and what is wrong.

If so are we buying a property that is legal or illegal, or are the courts just going in favour of the developers.

If all the developers are going to get there FOL is this becouse maybe  they are going to help the town hall by injecting lots of money into it, as it is almost bank rupert.

Is this not corruption !!!

THERE IS A COPY IN THE SIFASA OFFICE,     THE DEVELOPER HAS PUT HIS CASE FORWARD, AS HE HAS PAID NO ONE TO PUSH THE LICENSE THROUGH AND IS IN NO WAY INVOLVED WITH THE CORRUPTION CLAIMS OR PROVEN OF THE TOWN HALL,


 AS YOU ARE AWARE THE PEOPLE WHO WHERE WORKING FOR THE TOWN HALL AT THAT TIME OF THE CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS, HAVE NOW BEEN REMOVED AND A NEW BOARD IS NOW IN PLACE.

THE LICENSE HAS BEEN ISSUED AND WE ARE ALL NOW WANTING TO MOVE ON, MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET YOUR LAWYER TO CALL THE SIFASA OFFICE FOR A COPY OR CALL IN AS I KNOW THE DEVELOPER WOULD BE HAPPY TO HEAR YOUR LAWYERS POINT OF VIEW.

SOME URBANISATIONS HAVE NOT GOT THERE LICENSE YET AND ARE ON A WAITING LIST DEPENDING ON WHY THERE LICENSE WAS PULLED SOME HAVE MORE PROBLEMS THAN 65 SQ METRES OVER BUILT AND WILL PROBABLY HAVE MORE TO DISCUSS AND ALSO TO RECTIFY THAN SMV HAD.


WE HAVE SO MANY WHO WANT TO INVEST AND OF COURSE SOME PEOPLE CANNOT COMPLETE DUE TO THERE UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS AND WHERE HAPPY THE LICENSE WAS NOT IN PLACE SO THEY DID NOT HAVE TO COMPLETE, AS YOU ARE WELL AWARE NON OF US NOW WHAT IS AROUND THE CORNER BUT I HAVE SEEN THE LICENSE MYSELF, AND I AM NOT A LIAR.

Yes they do have a say by not issueing the L.F.O.

Yes the council have dire financial problems

Yes they want money for allowing the corruption to go on over many years.( sad situation)

This is indeed the sad fact and is why we need to keep up the pressure for change while realising each of us have to deal with each of our problems according to our own circumtances and the legal advice given.

Trust me I am on your side, in a similar situation as you, fighting alongside many but realising the situation in front of us will have to be addressed sometime or another.

Debbiep,s posting at least enables us to consider what options we have instead of this limbo state we are all in.
