Mandy and I will be coming to Almoradi next Thursday (27th) for a couple of days....can't wait, it seems like we have been away from Igfama for ever.  Whats the weather like at the moment?

We have bought a VW camper van and we are hoping to drive over sometime........god knows if it will make it - its a 1976 - so we might end up stranded in France.  We are planning the route but as the camper only goes 65 mph max - we could be sometime......we will probably leave this road trip until March/April though

Doesn't work get in the way of life haha

Amanda :-)

Hi Amanda, look forward to seeing you on 27th.  My daughter also arrives on 27th, so there will be a few of us in Igfama, for a change!  Erica and Walter are here, and Neal and Wayne are due on 4 October, also Carol and Ken on 2nd October.  I love it when lots of people are here, as normally it is so quiet, except for the noisy banging of doors of course!

Hi Tricia and Dave, where in Almoradi are you?  Do you have an apartment in Igfama or elsewhere?  And are you living here or on holiday?   Look forward to hearing more about you soon.

Tom has just been here for a week, so that was nice.  Another convert to Bar Teatro, which, for those of you not yet initiated, is my favourite bar, run by English people, but still Spanish in style, and I take all my visitors there.  So far, everyone has loved it, and it must be the most welcoming bar in the town.

Look forward to seeing lots of you all soon.

Fliss xx

Hi Tricia and Dave

I know where you are more or less. The bar is just before you get to the theatre (walking down from the square) on the right hand side.  I shall be staying here for Christmas, going back to visit family in December, and Erica and Walter in our block will be here as well, so there will be people around, although you may already have made some friends, as this is a very friendly town.

If you cross the square and turn right, the main road leads up to the school onthe left and a tile depot on the right.  Igfama lies over to the right beyond the tile depot.  It is a yellow building standing on its own, so quite easy to spot.  Hope you may come over and visit when you are next here.

Look forward to meeting you at Christmas.

Fliss.

Hi Tricia

I live in Almoradi but have retired.  I have heard various reports about part-time work.  I think it is possible to find something, probably through contacts, perhaps in bars etc., but to get office work it seems to be essential to speak very good Spanish.  I shall be starting classes next month, but already speak a little and practise whenever I can.  Of course, if you have a car and are able to travel, it will probably be easier to find work.  I plan to buy a little car in the spring, so I can get further afield.

Talk soon

Fliss.
