We purchased an apartment in May 2003 and completed in Jan this year. Opted for the 20,000 euro furniture package and the rental guarantee scheme. We checked with our Lawyer before signing when everything would be in place and they advised 8 weeks from completion.
We informed Rushcliffe that we would be coming over in April to stay in our new place only to be advised that it would not be ready but they would put us up in another apartment. Although we were disappointed the place at Ocean Pines was fabulous so couldn't complain too much! We did visit our place at Palmeras twice during that trip but it was deserted apart from security staff , no builders on site at all and no water or electricity connected.
Our 1st rental payment is now due from Rushcliffe, what you have to do is submit an invoice to them for the quarterly payment, what they don't tell you is that you have to pay 24% tax on the income and you have to charge them IVA which you then have to pay back and submit a tax return every quarter. All very complicated! Will let you know if and when we receive payment.
