Hi all

As we are getting more home owners on Sierra Golf we are struggling with the bins available on site , however if we all work together we can to keep the area tidy by using common sense. If you have any boxes please break them down also do not put bin bags on the floor , if the bins are full take your rubbish into Balsicas .

People may not realize that some residents go down to the bin area to pick up discarded rubbish and brush up , they should be applauded for this as it is not up to them alone to keep the area tidy. We are trying to get more bins on site and one of the main things to enable us to do this is to get everyone on site who has a property to register on the Padron  this does not cost anything ( only your time ) this then gives the number of homeowners on Sierra golf to Murcia town hall who allocate bins and other services for Sierra Golf.

I totally agree.....same goes for garden rubbish rather than leave by the bins in a big heap tip it on scrub land and it will rot down.

We very much agree with last post concerning rubbish bins at Sierra Golf.

A lot of rubbish is recyclable and Spain has very record on supplying recycling bin areas.

We take all newspapers, cardboard, bottles, plastic to either Balsicas, opposite Anna's coffee shop,

or up to La Tercia opposite Tele Club.

We make it little outing to do rubbish, have coffe and do some shopping in nearby food shops etc.

Enjoy Sierra Golf, it's on the way up!,

Philip

Really good you've highlighted this, but why are builders dropping rubbish there?  Urmosa need to take a grip if they are sub contractors.

All on Sierra Golf , Notice the tip ( bin area ) is worse then ever !! ( not just builders rubbish ) cardboard boxs not broken down!! household rubbish on the groung around the bins ( THIS CAN ATTRACT VERMIN !!) Polystyrene every where !! There are bins for cardboard in Balsicas !! see previous comments for details , if people work together on Sierra Golf we CAN LIMIT THIS PROBLEM !!

The new name for our site SIERRA DUMP!

A new bin was delivered this morning to replace the broken one. I dont expect people to use it as that will involve getting out of their car which a lot of people dont bother to do, they just throw it out of their car window! I see them do it!

I find it absolutely incredible that people are prepared to live like this, what must their houses be like! That road is the window into this site, why would people buy here knowing it looks like that. This is worse now than when we had the skip back in the days of MASA.

Myself and a small number of volunteers used to belong to the gardening club where we would also clear the boulevard and others areas, I still do look after the land around that area but these days I see no point because the people moving in now and the holiday home rents couldnt care less about the site.

I dont think people realise the dustbin men DO NOT get out of the vehicle, the whole thing is lifted off the ground into the vehicle and the driver moves on. What ever is on the ground stays unless someone else picks it up! If the bins are full take your rubbish to Balsicas, there are lots of them there, outside Murcia Villas there are recycle bins for cardboard etc.

Someone has even started feeding the cats down there again! This did stop for a long time and it was great. Now theres loads of cats and kittens again all being fed, with all the rubbish lying around we will have rats bigger than the cats soon. If you want to feed them do it at your own house so that you have the fighting and poo at your house we dont want it in ours thanks.

Sorry for the rant but there is a minority of people on this site spoiling it for the rest of us and it needs to stop! If you see someone dump their rubbish ask them to pick it up and put it where it should go.

Agree entirely with your comments !!! seems no matter how many bins we have , the minority of people on Sierra Golf would still put their rubbish on the ground !! as a friend of ours saw a person placing their household rubbish by the bins not inside where there was room to put it !!! A few choice words came from our friend so well done to her !!!!! Without repeating ourselves , it seems the minority of people on Sierra Golf need educating in how to dispose of their rubbish !! SEE OTHER COMMENTS !! IN OTHER WORDS COMMON SENSE !!!

I agree with Sue and Malpam....what must their villa look like!!!

If more people were to register onto the Padron (which is free to do so) we would have more bins to use, so come on all you new Sierragolfers get registered and lets have a nice clean place to live and enjoy life in the sun.

Just to say thank you to the small number of people who have tried to clear up the mess of the minority. Perhaps it's time to ask everyone if they could now sign up to help. We asked on this forum about recycling and now use the Balsicas facility, but have seen people throwing their rubbish out of their cars as they pass and also one day saw a car drive in from outside, empty their rubbish and drive away, so maybe people from outside are not helping either, that includes delivery lorries who offload their boxes.  Being a bit pro active, maybe Urmosa could put up some signs for us, many more residents could sign up to create a rota, as why should we rely on just the few. Not all residents are on this forum, so maybe some signs could be put up asking residents to help etc. Sierra Golf is such a nice place with a good core community so let's all muck in (excuse the pun)

There are now photos & comments on the Sierra Golf facebook page regarding the problem we have around the bin area , now this problem has been high lighted hopefully the minority  who have made this mess will use the bins we have the RIGHT WAY!!! ( UNTILL WE GET MORE RECYCLING BINS ) As for any BUILDERS RUBBISH ,IF THEY ARE SEEN DUMPING AROUND THE BIN AREA , REPORT IT AS IT IS AN OFFENCE TO USE DOMESTIC BINS!! .

There are two Eco Re-cycling parks fairly near by for larger un-wanted house hold items that wont fit into the green bins.

One is at Torre Pacheco (next to the railway line) Avda Gerardo Molina s/n.

opening times:- Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 10.00 - 14.00 & 16.30 - 19.30 (tel:- 968 583340)

The other one a little closer to Sierra Golf is at Roldan.

Poligono Industrial de Roldan.

C/Jose Lopez Portillo, industrial estate A.U.I.No 6

Opening Times:- Wed & Fri 10.00 - 14.00 & 16.30 - 19.00

There maybe a charge.

I dont agree, we dont need more bins its enough of an eyesore already. Waht we need are the bins emptied more often. The only way that will happen is if the new owners register on the Padron so the council know how many people are here.

URMOSA should make them do it as part of the paperwork because people dont bother to do it otherwise. Until the council realise or know just how many people there are here now its not going to change because they will not be getting the extra funding from central government to pay the extra costs.

We need cardboard bin & glass bin , the last message is stateing where to take larger house hold items , instead of leaving them around the bin area , If you go Sierra Golf face book page Sue , there are a lot of comments regarding the padron !! We agree in what your saying regarding getting a padron !

Hello all.

My wife and I will be moving onto SG on the 18th September. We will obviously have lots and lots of cardboard boxes and plastic bags etc as this will be our perminent home and we are bringing lots with us. If someone can pop along to see us and advise on where to take all our empty boxes and packing materials I would be very greatfull. We will need time to find our bearings so advice and help is much apretiated. We don't want to inadvertently upset anyone. We are moving into Albatross 248

Looking forward to meeting you all.
