We completed 3 weeks ago, and were advised that services would be completed within 7 days, as of tonight we still are not connected. I appreciate its shutdown August however has anyone else the same problem, or have you completed and managed to get connected if so what did you do. Or anyone any ideas for us please.

Hi dave from what I've been hearin/reading I think it is just the fact its August and hardly anyone works .Maybe someone has managed to get connected , , hopefully yours wont be long . I'm out three weeks time to get keys ect .

Hi, I think it normally takes 3 weeks for connection. With myself I was told the electricity meter had been installed  but several weeks later still without electricity I checked the meter room, and no meter had been installed, I contacted Polaris and the following day the electricity company was there.

Polaris should have informed the Utilities cmpanies - get on to Polaris

Just had a message from maria at PW and she said it's done within two weeks of competition normally.

Thanks, you couldnt make this up, but we have been told today, they have installed ours in the wrong apartment. At least we are getting somewhere now.

Should be good when we actually get it.

Oh dear that's not a great start, hopefully now they know there mistake it will be rectified soon.


Are you out there now dave? How bad was the snagging and have PW completed any of it yet.

My lawyer told me to do the snagging first before completion, this means I won't have the keys when I come out on the 7th. Which way did you (and others reading) do yours.

I was quite surprised to read that some people had completed before the snagging had been done,(We made sure the snagging was done before completing ) the snagging was done really quickly!!!!

We were unable to do snagging before we completed. We have submitted the list not that many items to be fair, and are hoping they will be completed. Obviously with no water or electric we have been unable to check this works OK.

I've been working in construction in both the UK and Europe for over 25 years and snagging is always done at completion but before handover, in our case payment .
But this is different and as dave says some people can't be there to do the snagging, i will probably wait and do  it first but it means I can't get the keys and I don't know when I'll be out next due to work being exceptionally busy.
