Could someone tell me if you see a full skip would you :-

1 take it to another skip or bin!!!!

2 throw it on the floor for someone else to clean up !!!

3 put it in your car and take to another bin when you go out !!!!!!!!!!!!

would you leave that mess around your own house? bet not. Who is going to clean it up ?

i am going to close off the area for the skip until further notice until the community come up

with a plan to clean up the mess that has been made so far !!!!

WE NOW HAVE A SOFA? SOMEONE MUST RECOGNISE IT!!!

we are very sorry to have to do this but the rubbish is now going over the golf course. We offerred the residents a solution to a problem but now it has been abused.

 Hi All on Sierra Golf

We have recently returned from Sierra Golf ,While over there after the first week when it was obvious the SKIP was not going to be emptied we took our rubbish to Balsicas on our way out.We were over for three weeks and the Skip just got fuller as the time went on.We were told that the Skip was only emptied every month ,is it not common sense for people to do as we did and take thier rubbish to other bins (especially items which can be recycled). The last time we were over in June we were told that the Mayoress of Alvillesis was going to provide Sierra Golf with bins, what (if anything )has happened about this.!!!!!!

As you say Allen it is up the community to work together on this.!!!!

Surely this is a Health & Safety issue!!!!!!!!!

Regards GOOD LUCK

Mal Pam

What a Shame!

We have just come home from a wonderful week at Sierra Golf just sad we did not get to spend time with all our friends on site. we were busy busy all week.

We had heard the comments about the skip and wehn last out always took our rubbish out with us and disposed of off site.

We could not believe how when we arrived the skip was overflowing and during the week: The idiocy of the people just going and addiing to it when we left yesterday morning it was spreading out.

Then you drive a short distance and see how so much work to enhance the site has been done, with the planted trees and laying out of stones.

We know there are people on site who may not have cars or those who let out their places  arrangements can always be made to ask key holders or a neighbur to help out surely.

Well done to all those who have worked so hard.

When we are out if anyone involved, lets us know we can try to contribute to help in some way.

Den Trisha and all

I agree, common courtesy is required.

We were there last week, and disposed of our waste in the big bins in Balsicas.

Was that preferable?  No, but as the bin was full, it was the sensible thing to do.

Until the skip situation is resolved, this is what people need to do.  If people have no transport, then they should look for an alternative means with a neighbour with transport.

Why anybody would leave a sofa there defies logic.

Can somebody please advise the exact status of the skip, why hasnt it been collected, is anybody responsible for this, is the council going to arrange this (tied to water payments) etc. - Is there anything the community can do in the interim?

Thanks

Jason

 Hi Jason

All the things you say are true ,but it is the  community that should be sorting this problem out ,

most wish to put there heads in the sand and think it will go away on its own !!!!

Nothing to date as been done about the skip , so we are going to block the entrance and hope people will use the bins

                   in balsicas ?????

                  thanks allan

We alteranted between the bins in Balsicas and the one on the roundabout as it is not linked to any houses or any where apart from the roundabout and a non developed site. We did that in the summer and the more recent break we had.

It is also emptied daily like the others and not a both to anyone as long as no one takes their old furniture -  isn't that fly tipping.
It is up to us all to be sensible and make Sierra Golf a pleasant and happy place to be. We just feel for the residents as it must be hard when you are living it day by day.
Glad everyone had a good time at the bonfire take care and keep us over  here informed of what goes on.

 Hi All

It is hard for us who are not resident on Sierra Golf to comment on your situation, however is it possible as a short-term measure for you to contact the SKIP company to have the SKIP emptied and club together to pay for it .This may not be ideal but what other options do you have to clear the present RUBBISH which must be mounting (it was bad enough in September).Has anybody contacted the Mayoress of Alvilleses regarding the SKIP and the provision of BINS.

Hope you can get this sorted

Regards

Mal Pam

I am happy to PayPal over a contribution if somebody takes on paying for a collection. Is this possible?

Sorry we can't be more help from afar, but if regularly chipping in a bit means when we travel over to SG for a break we have a clean site and somewhere to deposit our waste, I would be only too happy

Anybody interested in doing this? (Or am I being too simplistic?)
