Typical Spain : MURCIA The new airport in Murcia is the earliest in use in the summer of 2013.It confirmed regional president Ramón Luis Valcárcel today.
Murcia president wants to avoid opening an airport without airplanes as was the case with the airport in Castellon and says there is still much work and approvals that are not in the box.
Corvera, who will take over the San Javier airport, was scheduled to be adopted as early as summer. "Paper work" should have stopped after the head of the contractor Sacyr was fired.

If you read the article it doesn't actually say that flights won't start till Summer 2013
What is says is that the flights will start in October 2012 , which is what the staff that I have been talking to have confirmed and then the full changeover from San javier will be with everything is agreed

Well....I read and read..........President of the Autonomous Community, Ramon Luis Valcarcel, told 'The Truth' we will wait for the next winter to start the transfer of business from the premises of San Javier at Corvera. Since in those months down the number of flights and destinations, not until the summer of 2013 when the airport at Corvera is fully operational, inheriting the passenger traffic of San Javier, provided that they reach a successful three-way negotiations between ministerial society Aena, the concessionaire Aeromur and regional government.
