starview 5 - what am i doing wrong

hi all

just returned from cda where i tried to set up the reciever but unfortunately no joy. it went through the routine on automatic scan and was reading available channels but at the end of scan it kept saying no available channels. have polaris scrambled the signal or am i doing something wrong on set up.

I believe if you check out the following forum entry, it was mentioned that you had to stop the scan at 60 or 70%.

The box will not work - out of the box - the Auto scan settings are set up for the UK providers only so it will need manually configuring to work at CDA.

Here are the frequency numbers from my starview box for the main channels...

546 (bbc1, chan 5, bbc2)

538 (bbc world)

578 ( itv3 +1, itv3)

562 (itv4, itv2, itv)

554 (bbc news)

thanks a mill, a mate of mine says if you tap 1570 into your remote on start up your into the different frequencies and you can run different scans, so your codes will come in handy

1570 won't do anything on a standard box, it's for selecting the decrypt codes for UK providers with non-standard firmware.

If anyone is having problems, or wants all the channels available, give me a call when your out.
