SGS First Monthly Medal 6th Nov 09 (Draw)

Hi All

Well we had our first monthly medal this Friday 6th November 09.

24 SGS members turned up for 18 holes of stapleford, although it was very windy there was still some great score's coming in. (not mine)

Coming in 3rd place winning the Bronze Medal with 31 points was Geoff Ellender.

Coming in 2nd place winning the Silver Medal with 34 points was Ron Page.

The winner of the Gold Medal coming in with 42 points was Eddie Smith.

Bobby Hallam won the longest drive & nearest to the pin.

Ray Marks won the two's.

I would just like to say hard luck to Nigel Lambert but what a fantastic drive on the ninth hole, Nigel drove the ball into the bunker to the left front of the green. Sorry Nigel it' don't count it's got to be on the fairway, lifes tough mate. Nigel AKA popeye.

Just like to thank everybody for turning up. Don't forget the monthly medal is played on the first friday in the month, next 4th Dec 09. If you want me to put your name down for the next medal just e-mail me  tonybalsicas@live.com  we have to take the list down the Friday before the medal to arrange the tee time's.

Coming out next week for a bit of sunshine and of course, for Ladies Day.

I understand that there are at least 12 names down at the moment, so it has the makings of a great day.

For those of you missing the UK, the weather here is cold, wet , windy and miserable!
