Polaris World Car Hire

Hi

Anyone out there booked carhire from Murcia Airport through Polaris World?
If so, where is the counter and where are the cars located?

We have used other companies in the past and there are always long queues so we were wondering if PW was a bit quicker?

I don't think PW have a car hire business ant longer. As far as I know, it merged with Europcar a while ago

There's a Europcar desk at MJV with what looks like a special counter for PW customers.

Personally, I always use Holiday Autos to search for the best price. Europcar always seemed a bit expensive to me

Europcar are at MJV with the others in the arrival area, they are more expensive but I think the gap has probably narrowed this season as other charges have been creeping into the tradiionally cheaper hire guys.

Certainly the times we have used Europcar, the queues at the other desks have been substantial where as, we have been out in under 5 minutes  - you pays your money and takes your choice !

For info, we used Auriga Crown when over in the last few weeks. Great service, no queue whatsoever, upgraded us to a larger care and gave us a full/full contract.

I was interested that Auriga Crown gave you full to full, normally they seem to only do that for visits of 5days or less, was yours more than 5 days?

Yes - we were there for 19 days. They have done it every time we've been over after our first trip. We have now used them four times through doyouspain. apparently it is because we are 'return' customers ! Saves a little on costs. Should also say we thought we may have had a problem with the car while there (but didn't) and called their 24 hour helpline. Whilst they didn't have to do anything in the end they were very professional and helpful.

You go cheap that is what you get..

When booking direct with the big guns such as europcar, herz, avis, sixt you pay over the odds though but hey if you can afford that no problem with that.

The likes of AmigoAutos, car3000 etc sometimes end up with the big guys but at far lower rates..

I used Goldcar most of the times and also book direct with them. If it saves me €100 a pop on a weeks rental, i don't mind queing a bit longer or get a slightly older/dented car.. what is a brand new car to me when I am on holiday?

OK every now & then I ended up with a berlingo to my disgust (well dented streetcred ), but hey you take the rough with the smooth. Overall never had any real problems...

on business I use the likes of Europcar & Herz, bt still end up with major isues over damage etc.. they are a pain in the butt when it comes to damage..
