had a great week, weather was fantastic, everything looking fine on pp & things appear to be settling down ok, looks to me as if there is a new batch of "long term renters" on the complex & this helps as it appears that the majority of the people on site are doing there bit in respecting the community / facilities etc. the gardeners & cleaners are always hard at work & everything is working ok. i would say from what i can see is that p60 are doing a good job with maintaining pp. no further activity on the "hill" & all along the coast most developments appear to be "waiting out the current recession" before building work resumes. i previously had property on the west side of marbella so getting to know the area has taken a little while. i would firmly recomomend alberts in cabopino plus the little ice cream parlour at the end of the marina, de bruno's at the top of cabopino when you come of the n340 is good as well. i certainly wouldnt recommend the beach house at elvira, it came well hyped but in truth service was poor & indifferent & the food not that great considering the price. the supermacado "les olives" at the bottom of the hill is excellent & carries everything you need , also the cafeteria there is first rate for breakfast (always busy so that says it all). apart from the great little hardware shop at the front of el zoco i have given the rest of it a wide berth. max's beach bar was pretty relaxed & a good place to sit & have a drink early in the evening. the club del sol tennis & gym is handy to use & its well run & friendly. any hints on decent restaurants , beach clubs etc locally would be appreciated, didnt get a chance to visit el oceano hotel, heard the restaurant (sunday lunch) is great but apparently they dont welcome kids round the pool area ?
