We did go for a meeting with TH but did not go to Campos del Rio as we were told that there is not much more to see than what we had seen in February.  On the positive side, the girls at TH seem upbeat about the proposed meeting this week which I assume you have already read about.  Let's all hope that this goes in favour of TH in which case it looks like at least some of the building work will begin in September if not before.  What we were told by Jane and Karla was confirmed by our solicitor today when we had a meeting with them.  Our solicitor said that there is a good chance that there will be a positive outcome at the meeting this Thursday.  No further down the line that we were this time last week I guess it is just a case of continuing to watch this space.

Much noise… but few nuts. The announcement of the Group Trampolín that this week would be decisive for the release of its project in Campos del Río-building a resort with more than 2,500 homes and golf course-was yesterday challenged by the mayor of the town, the socialist Miguel Navarro, who said that the House convened for Thursday will not address the release of the project, contrary to what is said on Friday those responsible for the promoter.

The mayor noted that still awaiting a report-which are developing the legal services of UGT-and that would be it could give the green light to vote in the House could final approval of the project. "The report will take at least a month or a month and a half to complete," said Navarro, who acknowledged that the delay would cause-August inhábil for being in the Administration-that the matter could not be until next September.

The first Edil said "not knowing what concerned 'representatives when Trampolín Group said last Friday that they had established contacts with their legal representatives and said that once it clear that you can vote, meaning its decision" is not yet clear whether it would be in favour of the draft.

What is clear is that this "decisive" week, as described Trampolín Group, will happen without committee and a House briefing with just four points on the agenda, none reference to the project. But today the town celebrates its patron, St. John the Baptist, with a procession.

SOME MORE INFO TRANSLATED VIA GOOGLE:

Murcia, June 20 (EFE) .- The president of the group Trampolin Hills, Antonio Martínez, announced today that it has been "unblocked" the construction of a housing estate in Campos del Rio, and next Thursday's full council approve the projects, to begin construction in July.

Martinez appeared today at a press conference accompanied by his lawyer Diego de Ramon, who explained that his work for resume the project has been "exercising a bridge" between the legal responsibility of the PP and the PSO with the goal of eliminating "differences" and take forward the business project, which is "clean and transparent."

From Ramon reported that next Tuesday will meet the municipal information committee, and on Thursday will be adopted at the plenary session of the council of Rio de Campos changing rules subsidiaries, the Initial Partial Plan, the draft reparcelling and urbanization.

The lawyer said that the elimination of existing problems of the promotion has occurred because they realized that there were differences between the PP and the PSO "and we were in the middle."

From the legal point of view was informed by representatives of both parties of the "administrative languor" and warned that there might be potential liabilities heritage, and that the developer "I just wanted to bring forward a draft clean without harming anyone" .

In this regard Diego de Ramon spoke to the American FBI has arrested 300 bankers for their potential liabilities in the current crisis "and here in Spain has not stopped anyone for any liability that has its political actions."

Thus announced it will ask the Anti-Corruption Prosecution to open proceedings briefing by the investments made by some responsible for banks and savings.

De Ramon, who said that the project will be approved by the Directorate General of the urban Environment Council, denied having held talks with political parties but with their "legal representatives".

"On Thursday the entire project will be approved by a majority of the Corporation-and-there will be no strong resistance, but moderate and calm," he said.

The promoter of Trampolín explained that the first 200 homes will be built in four months as given the provisional license or account, because "all I want is to start work that is all that is done."

Antonio Martínez strongly denied it has been amended no point of initial project and that Fields River will receive four million euros that were foreseen in the contract (agreement) signed. "If not passed before the 'arete', I am not going to happen now, more missing," said promoter.

The wisdom must prevail said Diego de Ramon, who noted that the construction of urbanization will employ 28,000 people, and stressed that the company Trampolín charged last year 66 million and one billion paid in taxes.

"Now with the crisis-needed work and we will give a poquillo work," said Antonio Martínez, who pointed out that most buyers' wish your house but there is a way for which not want. "

The lawyer also said that De Ramon has reached an agreement with foreign financial and in the coming days will be contacted with suppliers "so they can feel supported in the recovery of their quantities."

For its part, the CEO of the Group Trampolín, Juan Francisco Canales, assured that have been suspended "completely" the actions of a dispute that iban to undertake some legal offices after the cessation of urbanization.

For Canales, the current mayor of Rio de Campos, Miguel Navarro, the PSO was the victim of bad legal advice. We have worked with a legal firm which has redesigned and now we have seen with different eyes technicals ".

Diego de Ramon expressed his certainty that the PSO, which has a majority in the consistory will vote positively, although it said were unaware that express the meaning of the PP councillors. EFE

Jackie: If I understand this correctly the meeting today wouldn't consider the development, but GT is saying it would.

Why are we even listening to GT when it clear that all the statements from the company are designed to buy time.

Well - well - well,

I'm Back from my yearly Motorcycle holliday, and that was much more exiting than reading on this forum, Maybe I can tell you about it some day...

However it now looks like the pressure we have applied has helped a bit - at least for them to be aware and understand the severity in the situation,

we may see in a ffew days or a few weeks or a few monts what will happen, This summer is gone anyway.

I am still optimistic

Looking forward to se you in the streets of  CdR

Hi Rob,

Thats what I think too they are trying to buy time in order to delay the legal lawsuits I presume. I maybe wrong...

The Mayor says if he gets the go ahead from the legal advisor then he can vote but that is still an IF, and then not until November.

I can see this dragging on for another few months at least.   but then why am I not surprised lol!

This is becoming similar to Almanzora Country Club! Look back at the posts on the ACC forum from 2 years ago & the same comments are being made now: 'we must give the company time'  ' they are trying to get the situation sorted', etc etc etc!!

Silence from everyone?

I guess the air has gone out of the baloon for many of us.

In my simple mind, according to all the things I have read;  and to be realistic and pragmatic   -   My perception / (or conclusion if you like) is that we will see nothing happening before the Mayor is out of his "grace" period and is free to vote  -  and then we look forward to Serptember  -  Enything that is decided and started before that, I will consider as a bonus.

But what the heck -
>The appartement prices in Spain are so low anyway,
>This summer is gone as well,
>There is currently to hot in Spain during th heat-wave

I hope that the Spanish are winning the finals today...

Keep in touch, put down a few lines to keep the communication going....

Hey!!
I just got this great idea!
Why dont we all meet down in CdR and grow some tamatoes, wine grapes, Oranges, potatos or something on our land -and then we can sell it on the market  - at least we get something back from our investments

Have a nice summer everyone.

Best regards

Gynter

Firstly - I am as optimistic a hell  -  but also realistic
Secondly -  I do not want my money back - I want the appartments to be built

As I have mentioned before - and I have experience - NO projects of this size goes smooth. There is a lot of things going on behind the scenes without the public/customers/agents/etc  have access to the information.
The fact that this particular problem (regarding go-ahead from the council) has surfaced, means that this is a bit unusual noise, but it can also be looked upon as a positive thing.

The worst thing that could have happened is that the politicians were bribed to grant the permissions and then someone find out later that something "fishy" has been going on. Then we would have been in ther for a much longer period than I see forthcoming here.

So I think, to be realistic - we will see September......

I has also been brought to my ear (I MUST STATE THAT THIS IS JUST A RUMOUR)  that the reason for this political struggle is a revenge-action from persons in the opposition party (Who has colleagues arrested a while ago for corruption due to accusations  from the other party and investigations proved them to be right - people are still in prison due to this)...
But again i have no confirmation that says this is a fact, but should it be true, I think it is OK to sort things out upfront rather than being delayed midway or at the end...

The project will go ahead, that should not be questioned:
-Just look at all the work that has already been done on the project
-Nearly all appartements are sold
-The unemployment in Spain are rising
-etc...

Anyway, we will keep up the spirit all of us and "reach high" up at the hills of Campos del Rio

Gynter

Hi OGO and the rest of you guys,

Firstly I am sure that the properties at TH will be built, but I will continue to post any infomation that I find positive or negative as I have always done as I believe we should be in posession of all the information that is out there not just the good bits.

Not sure why you think it will be sorted out in September the Mayor is not cleared for voting until November even then he is just one vote which makes the scores level and we need a majority to get  the vote through, what we need to know is the other politician at Campos del Rio that is also suspended from voting when is his time for being cleared to vote as far as I know nobody has asked this.

In the mean time keep up the good work and the pressure we will end the winners I am in Spain from 11th July and will do my best to find out any relevent information I can.

regards
Brian
