Still Discovering Spain...

Here for over 25 years and I still discover new things every day...

Freemasonry in Spain
Wednesday, December 18, 2013 @ 12:42 PM

Freemasonry has infiltrated key institutions and political parties in Spain and is present at international meetings in which the world order is designed, but despite being one of the most influential organizations in the world very little is known about it. Don Manuel Guerra Gómez discovered in his latest essay, "Freemasonry, religion and politics," the inordinate power of this secret society. The priest also wanted to reveal the dark ambitions that characterise the Masons of Spain and the rest of the world in an interview with the online newspaper ABC:

Manuel Guerra believes Freemasonry is a philosophical secret society that is transforming man into the perfect person. The perfect person: free of ethical and moral principles of religion and dogmas, tolerant, and philanthropic. A Mason pursues this conversion through personal effort, initiation into the various "degrees "- the liturgy and rites, and the help of other brother Masons. He mentions that in Madrid they even changed the star of the three wise men for profane ornaments.

In Spain there are two major branches of Freemasonry, The Grand Lodge, linked to the English Freemasonry, and the Grand Orient, linked to the French. Formerly one organisation until in 1877 they split. The Big East is declared liberal, progressive, it is not necessary to believe in the "Great Architect of the Universe " or the existence of the soul and supports women. In addition, meetings can talk about politics and religion. In the Grand Lodge one can only talk about these issues in the lobby and its members believe in the Great Architect. This branch does not accept women in its ranks, so the queens of England cannot lead the Grand Lodge and must give place to the King.

Historically in Spain the most important branch was the French Grand Orient. Moreover, during the Second Republic there were many parliamentarians belonging to it. Subsequently it disappeared because Franco managed to infiltrate a spy into the organization that later became its Grand Master, the organisations maximum authority. He was a soldier from the Military Academy of Zaragoza, who every afternoon reported to Franco who was a Mason. At this point the Grand Orient had virtually disappeared, in fact it had merged with the Grand Lodge, which is based in Barcelona. The main lodge that now exists in our country is the Grand Lodge of Spain, which is quite conservative and has in its ranks several politicians of the Popular Party. Anyway in Spain many branches have been created of the Grand Lodge, and in some of them women are welcomed.

It was thought that the Grand Lodge was Christian until  the middle of last century when an Anglican religious scholar Walton Hannah uncovered a book in which was stated that in the Lodge they believed in Jahbulon, short for Yahweh – the Jewish God, Baal - god of the Canaanites and On- the ancient city where there was a temple to worship the sun. In the Anglican religion there were many Masons, including the Bishop of Canterbury belonged to the Masons, but after Hannah published his findings many bishops and priests left the order.

So the order is effectively anti-Christian because it seeks what is common to all religions. Hence, the Masons, who are secularists, want to remove crucifixes and symbols of Christmas. In Madrid they were able to remove the Star of the Magi, which was replaced by other profane ornaments. Also, Lucifer worship, which should not be confused with satanic worship, is portrayed as the bringer of light, reason and illustration. In one of their rituals the Masons roam the lodge with an image of Lucifer. Masons came to be excommunicated, but now the Church only says that they are committing a grave sin. Moreover, a witness to the last meeting of the Bilderberg Club [which brings together people from around the globe that are thought to design world political and economic order, states that there was an image of Lucifer – Prometheus present during the meeting.

Amongst the Spaniards most involved in the Club is Juan Luis Cebrian, CEO of the Spanish Prisa  Group (media group). Both the PSOE and the PP adore him. If Cebrian is not in the core of the Bilderberg group, he is certainly on the second level. The other Spaniards, who were present, such as the Queen, were merely guests. How often is the Club Bilderberg mentioned in the newspaper El Pais? Hardly ever.
Indeed, it was from within the Club that it was agreed that Canada would split up into French-speaking and  English-speaking areas, and someone there may also be interested in dismembering Spain . He wonders why some Anglo-Saxon politicians are supporting Artur Mas so much. There are Freemasons who claim that in a meeting they had with the president of the Generalitat, Jordi Pujol, he showed them the secret Masonic greeting and then confessed that in the past he had initiated in Freemasonry.

"Why did Zapatero, who was a nobody, become secretary general of the PSOE ?
Is this a correct identification of Freemasonry within the political left-wing of  Spain?”

Yes, it is justified. The presidents of the Second Republic were Masons too, and many of the ministers as well. Almost all of the historical leaders from the Republican Vella de Catalunya are masons as was the previous Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. Traditionally in Spanish right-wing politics there haven’t been many Masons, but now in the Partido Popular, there are. They are infiltrated in the senior management of the party, and particularly in Galicia , the Canary Islands and the Basque PP since Iturgaiz , San Gil and Mayor Oreja stopped leading. Perhaps this explains why sometimes the PP and PSOE go hand in hand and support El Pais.

Is there a European level organization comprising some Masons from across the continent?

Maurice Caillet says in his book "I was a Mason " at a European level there is a lodge of MPs deciding who should be promoted. Why did Zapatero become secretary general of the PSOE? According to a well-known American Mason, the former President of the Government, who belonged to a Central Lodge, went on to state that social progress would be implemented in Spain under Masonic values.
One may ask the question do Freemasons still have power or is this society fading out, certainly it is not believed that there is much masonic influence in the Spanish world of business and finance but when it comes to politics….

Well- reads like an extract from Dan Brown's latest book and contains about as much factual information as any of his fictional works.
I've been in Freemasonry for 15 years and visited lodges in Spain and never heard of the majority of what is in this post. It must have been written by someone who clearly has no idea what Freemasonry is about and probably has a grudge against a Mason somewhere in his past. Oh by the way, it is not a secret society otherwise he would not be able to claim so much knowledge. It is a society with secrets and most of them can be found on the Internet. While your looking check out the charitable commitments across the globe. Very little seems to be referred to in these articles that tend to concentrate on the variety of references to black magic or occult stories highlighted on many anti masonic websites.
Finally I must clear up the comments on the religious aspects of Freemasonry. The Great Architect refers to a God or Supreme Being of any religion in the world. We welcome anyone irrespective of their religion or culture as long as they accept the basic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth.
Get on Google and find the websites of Masonic organisations across the world and read pages of information much more informative about what we do than the prejudiced quotes shown above.

What utter rubbish Mac 75 you just don't what you are writing. Freemasonry is secular we admit all religions if as Almasco says you believe in a God; obey the laws of the country in which you reside or afforded their protection you could well be admitted. I have seen five types of "Bible" in a Lodge.
We are one of the largest charitable organisations in the world and "WE MAKE GOOD MEN BETTER". I have had 32 years of extremely enjoyable friendship, companionship in Fremmasonry from all over the world where you will always find a masonic friend.
Incidentally there is a section now Freemasonry for Ladies which is thriving.

This sounds like a load of nonsense to me - and I'm not a mason. I do, however, know a bit about the principles of freemasonry in the UK and, whilst I do not entirely agree with its practice, I am not persuaded that, in its truest form it is anything other than a practical means of supplementing one's religious beliefs with good deeds within a brotherhood of free men (and in some cases women). Of course there are those who use it as a means of personal advancement but, for many, it not only provides a self help group but also an opportunity to do good works for the wider community. As for Lucifer and all that - well really - the writer is clearly confused and suffering from political and religious paranoia!

Having read your responses I will mosy certainly read into it some more and get a better understanding. No offense intended. Sorry if it did offend anyone.

I have been in Freemasonry for 11 years and have run my own
successful business for the past 35 years.
I had no idea that I was a Mason until I joined as I had based my company on the principles of honesty and truth, the very bases of Freemasonry as I perceive to be.

A good article, thank you eyeonspain for being brave enough to print it. Everyone involved with Freemasonary with tell of it's good works and religious freedom, but only those of the highest Masonic order will know of it's true foundation. It is a society formed by "The Evil One" who at this time has control of the world. I advise people to seek friendship, help and advice from a Christian church. God will one day regain control and reign over the fantastic world that He created. Thank you again eyeonspain, for expounding the real truth of this all too powerful organization.

I too was taught to be cautious and was going to add my thoughts about this extract from the book but it all seems to have been said.

Absolute rubbish. The author obviously has no idea of the true meanings of Masonry. As previously said, it is not secret society, but a society with secrets. I have never hidden the fact that I am a Freemason. I have been taught to be cautious and will,l not add more, but you only have to look on the internet to see the charitable works carried out. Reminds me of the scaremongering in the 70s/80s in London involving Police Officers. Nuff said

I also have never read such rubbish in my life, infiltrated the Masons, you have to be invited or have to be the son of a Mason as was my ex husband. I could nit pick lots of lines of corespondence with regard to this article as others already have. Honestly where you do get your writers from - they also presume about Spanish freemasonry, thats another subject but the "English" lodges in Spain do much charity work, the writer is pulling down these people - as much as I can remember, the Grand Architect means that people can join the Masons whatever their religion. People can write what they like, and although I was shunned by the Freemasons when I split from my husband, I still think its a marvelous institution and hats off to them for doing so much charity work.

It is worth remembering that Franco was a great enemy of the Masons believing the Masons and the communists were behind all evil in the world...
And Franco was a person with great ideas, reight ?
Do not think so...

Never attack Freemasonry or the Police ( they are probably the same thing ! )

They will close ranks to attack you, which probably goes to show they have a lot to hide.

Spain is very Dangerous for Free Masons, we were exposed as Free Masons in Falset court Tarragona and the Franco decree against Free Masons was without doubt implemented 78,000 euros was taken without papers by the court as an embargo and our property seized and given to the family that exposed us. If you are a free mason in Spain be extremely cautious, Spain still has Franco, he died he was not removed .

As for all the silly stories 98% off all Free Masons were wiped out in Spain by Franco, there is no conspiracy or new world order just good or bad people, some of the comments above show how opinion and judgment can be made by people who know nothing about the subject they are prepared to attack, I at this point am not a Free Mason but do not know of any wrong doing of the order, who remain defenseless from dribble and hate remarks in their silence.
