Barcelona  are interested in adding Arsenal's Emmanuel Eboue to their armoury, in addition to luring Cesc Fabregas to Camp Nou during the summer, according to The Sun.

It is said that the Catalan club will mount a £40 million bid to tempt the Gunners into letting go of their skipper, whilst having one eye cast on the Ivory Coast international - whose contract at Asburton Grove expires at the end of the season.

It is claimed that the sporting director of the Spanish giants, Txiki Begiristain, has read the 26-year-old's file and is impressed with the player's defensive capabilities in addition to his skills in midfield.

A Barca insider is quoted as saying: "Our coach Pep Guardiola is also very keen and we are working at the situation."
