Earthquakes in Valencia area cause widespread terror

EARTHQUAKES in the province of Valencia on Tuesday brought forth a flood of panicked calls to emergency services as residents feared a repeat of the devastation in Lorca (Murcia) in May 2011. The highest, at 2.7 on the Richter scale, had its epicentre in Sollana (Valencia) late on Monday night, and another four were felt in nearby Silla between 05.51hrs and around 16.00hrs on Tuesday, ranging from 1.5 to 2.6 on the Richter scale.
