Life at the Mar Menor Lets Office

 We deal with lots of people who rent out their property. However whilst we can suggest things to owners and even provide them with information we cannot make owners "do" anything.

You ask - is there a point to this, well yes. We always tell owners to make sure they have their properties insured.  Also to make sure that your insurance company is aware that you are renting out your property otherwise your insurance could be invalid.  I suggest you do this is writing and not just in coversation.  We have one owner who  discussed her insurance with her bank and told them that she rented out her property but when she went to make a claim the bank told her that she had not informed them that she rented out her property and so therefore they turned down her claim.

 There are people around at long last and they must be holiday makers as they are in shorts and strappy t shirts whilst those of us who live here all year are still more warmly dressed.

The first of our holiday makers arrives this weekend so we start getting back to routines of meet and greets and cleans etc.  While i suppose there will be no time to be bored just hope that there is time to enjoy some of this lovely sunshine.

 Well have done the emails, answered the phone but have had no humans into the office today.  There are more people around the area and there are definitely some holiday makers around. Never mind no humans means no broken washing machines etc but also means we have not rented out a property either. Se la vi

 Generally life is still very quiet here with very few holiday makers around. However this morning byy 9.45 I had had three visitors to the office one tenant to pay rent, one holiday maker wanting a local bus timetable and someone with some information for us. So not a quiet morning!!!

You can tell who the holiday makers are and the who the Brits who live here full time are by what they wear!!  Holiday makers are in shorts whilts us full timers are still in winter clothes!!!!!

The weather is improving and Ryan air are starting to increase the number of flights into Murcia airport so that means that summer is on its way.  also the number of enquiries for holiday bookings is increasing so if you want a holiday now is the time to make that booking

 Well February seems to have started with some sun and certainly in the middle of the day the temperature is very good.  Though surprisingly we woke to thick fog today  though it burned off by about 11 oclock.

The office is steady some days we hae lots of people in but on the colder days it is very quiet. though the emails keep us busy with holiday bookings.

Hopefully once Ryan air increase their number of flights to Murcia from the end of this month we might even see some people walking around the area as it is so so quiet at the moment.

 I have never know Los Alcazares and area so quiet. With so few flights coming into Murcia Airport this winter there is definitely a dearth of winter holiday makers.  However having checked several of the airlines websites the number of flights starts increasing from the beginning of March. 

Why not have a look and see if you can book a flight and a break in Spain for March and enjoy some sun

 Whilst Los Alcazares is very quiet at the moment the same cannot be said for people wanting to book summer holidays here.

Whilst Ryan Air not flying into Murcia from the majority of UK airports during the winter has taken its toll and everyehere is very very quiet the fact that flights to Murcia start again in March ready for Easter means people are now starting to book their summer holidays.

Well I thought October might be a bit quieter as most of the holiday makers had gone but I was wrong!!  There seem to be a lot of people who are looking for properties to rent for long term and they all seem to have appeared now.  I am not complaining as it means business is good but I am slightly surprised.  We have a range of properties for let which appear in our office window which is now sparkling as the window cleaner came this morning plus on the website people can see even more as there are lots of photos.  Still could do with a few 2 bedroom  properties close to Mercandona in Los Alcazares.   Long may new renters continue gracing our office door

well what a week - we have rented out 3 properties, sorted out a broken washing machine, rescued a tenant who locked themself out and sorted out another owners unpaid electric bill!!!!!!!!

Also there are more people looking for properties to rent that we have on our books so there is never a dulll moment or enough hours in the day
