BONFIRES OF ST JOHN 2012

Guardamar del Segura

From 15 to 20 June

The Bonfire starts to take shape. The ‘Els Milotxes’ group and other volunteers

get together to carefully plan the Bonfire and the effigies to be burned. The

Bonfire will be located, as in previous years, beside the Church, in Sant Jaume

Street.

At 10 p.m. Cena de sobaquillo

(an open-air picnic. Bring your own food)

Thursday, 21 June

8 p.m.

parade along the streets, accompanied by traditional musicians. The ‘Party

Zone’ is opened and the ‘Bonfire Beauty 2012’ is presented to the public.

The ‘Bonfire Beauty Queens’ make their way to the Bonfire area. They

‘Puesta de largo’ Party, with a tradicional music band
