The latest gloomy economic figures coming out of Spain

Over the last week, more gloomy economic news has been released, showing Spain's depeening economic depression, which sees no signs of abating.
-Unemployment hit 24.4% in the first quarter of 2012
-Unemployment amongst the under 25s reached 52% in the first quarter of 2012
-There are now 1.7 million households in Spain where there is no wage earner, up 10% since the start of 2012
-March's retail sales figures declined. This is the 21st month in a row of declines
-Standard and Poor last week downgraded Spain from A to BBB+ with a negative outlook
-Spain's 10 year bond yield hovering around the 6% level
