Spanish omlette from the supermarket
12 July 2010 @ 21:22

All of the Spanish supermarkets sell ready made Spanish omlette (tortilla) for around €1.50.  They don't taste as nice as the proper home made version but I still really like the supermarket version.  I've tried making my own tortillas and everything goes fine until I have to flip it over.  I always end up destroying it.  So from now on, I just buy these ready made supermarket tortillas.  All you need to do is take it out the packaging, bang it in the microwave for 4 minutes and it's ready.

It's perfect with a nice salad.  Not bad for around €1.50.

My favourite is the Lidl one, which you can see below:

I can't flip them either! I make in the usual way and then just pop the frying pan under the grill. Works every time and it's delicious. But I may try a supermarket one when we are next in Spain.

nothing better than the homemade one... I have never tried the supermarket one and I do not think I will for a while.

Nevertheless.... they look the same !!!!
