I thought I ought to bring to everybodies attention something that happened to our guests last week i don't know which night it was but I can find out if it of any importance to anybody. But my friend couldn't sleep so he went for a walk around the block (he was staying at pedro cano)when he came across a north african climbing up the wall on the waste ground end of pedro cano! My friend who is a large an ex rugby player shouted at the guy on the wall, who sensibly jumped down and ran off with a 16 stoner hot on his heals! he lost him somewhere around the front of the estate in the waste ground towards the railway or he may have gotten into someones garden my friend did'nt know. (he's not as fast as he once was). But I thought you should all know that this has happened so you can all keep an eye out and make sure you keep your door and windows secure and look out for each other. Inspite of this our friends had a good Holiday and were impressed with Balsicas and our community .

I don't really see the point of worrying about it!! There's nothing we can do about it, so as long as you can pay your mortgage you may as well carry on enjoying your home in the sun. Most of us have lived through recession's before and things will turn around eventually. It's not just sticking your head in the sand its just being pragmatic. So here's hoping for a quick recovery (but not really expecting one) and wishing everybody the best of luck in these uncertain and trying times.

Thanks for that annie. I've asked our key holder if she'll pay it for me, she's ok'd that 'what a relief'. Tell you what though! you may be crawling along, but I won't be over taking you any time soon lol.

Can anybody help please? I was caught speeding in Cartagena last october. I've just got the fine, having had no idea before hand that i'd even commited the offence. 'no excuse I know! But what now? I'm home in England and I'm not back in spain until september. so can anybody tell me how do you go about paying the fine from here? I can't find a telephone number on the fine. My spanish is not great although I'm learning. Also does this mean points on my UK licence. And will it make any difference when I want to rent another car? Any help would be gratefully accepted.
