Irrespective of whether you are in the I want my house camp or I want my money back we wish you all a Happy & Prosperous New Year. Having decided not to buy in Jumilla I shall no longer be visiting this site and will be deleting my details from Eye on Spain. I decided to transfer some money back to the UK and the good news thanks to free transfers with the Halifax is that I have made 12% on the deal within a year!!! At least this seems to ease a bit the pain of having to wait quite some time before we get our money back, if at all. Cheers

A handsome young man was walking across La Zenia beach in the winter sunshine with his hands in his pockets. Whilst walking he noticed a bottle sticking up from the sand and kicked it. The bottle smashed in a cloud of blue smoke and from this smoke a large genie appeared and startled the handsome young man.

The genie looked down on the startled, handsome young man and said “Thank you startled, handsome young man. I have been trapped in that bottle for 200 years and as a reward I will grant you one wish”.

The startled, handsome young man looked up at the genie and said “ Mr Genie” (for he was also a polite, startled, handsome young man) “Mr Genie I am 25 years old and I have never had a girlfriend because of my extremely badly deformed and claw like hands. My wish is that you make my hands normal so that I can sample the delights of the female form”.

The polite, startled, handsome young man then removed his hands from his pockets and showed the genie the ghastly sight of his extremely badly deformed and claw like hands.

The genie looked upon the hands and said “I am very sorry polite, startled, handsome young man but your hands are so badly deformed and claw like that even with my immense powers making them normal is totally impossible and beyond anyone’s powers. There is no way at all that it will happen”

On hearing this tears welled up in the eyes of the polite, startled, handsome young man. Seeing this, the genie said “Tearful, polite, startled, handsome young man you still have a wish available. Is there anything else that I can do for you?”.

The tearful, polite, startled, handsome young man thought for a moment and wiped the tears from his eyes with his extremely deformed and claw like hands, looked up at the genie and said “ Mr Genie what I really would like you to do is to make San Jose Inversiones the most successful building firm in the history of the universe. They would then avoid liquidation and the people from SARCO would be able to have their houses in 2009. The people from the forums on Eye on Spain and Santa Ana Del Monte would be able to get their money back with interest and the nice people in the apartments in La Zenia and the houses at Playa Golf would not have to leave their properties by the 31st December”.

The genie sighed and looked down on the tearful, polite, startled, handsome young man and said

“Just let me have another look at those hands”!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feliz Navidad

Round 2 from San Jose has consisted of an UNSIGNED 'Important Notice' being put on the entrance doors of the apartments in La Zenia reminding those of us that are supposed to do so to vacate our properties and hand in the keys before the 31st December - bring it on!!!!!!!!!!

Just when you thought that San Jose could not get any lower!! Some of us that are in Spain awaiting developments with San Jose and residing in one of their properties received notice to hand in our keys and vacate our properties before the end of December - strange as our contract is until the end of December and in that very same contract there is a clause stating that if our house in Jumilla is not ready for occupation by the end of December 2008 both parties will discuss a new arrangement.

It appears that we must have missed this discussion stage because certainly no one from San Jose has had the courtesy to tell us about anything or respond to several e mails and verbal requests from me over the last few months regarding what our position will be when the agreement expires at the end of December.

I cannot say that I was too surprised about the content of the letter but I was saddened by the timing of it and hope that Eberneezer and the rest of the San Jose have a pleasant Christmas but a far from prosperous New Year.

To those of you at this 'festive time' still wanting to do business with and own a San Jose property then 'God bless you, everyone'  and let me try to find another piece of coal for the fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh how I wish I had listened to facere all those months ago and accepted the offer of our money back. We are one of the residents of the apartments in La Zenia above the office which has now closed down and is up for sale, along with other assets of San Jose, and awaiting any interested party that may put in a bid for it when San Jose, no doubt, will make a decision about what happens to us. Thank goodness the sale is likely to take some time but you never know - someone may be interested in buying it sooner.

I am thankful that these problems have arisen now and not after our house and a small number of others had been built in Jumilla leaving the unlucky residents with no golf course and no other ameneties at Santa Ana apart from builder's water and electricty. We have resigned ourselves to the likelihood than our money is lost and any other result will be a bonus to us whenever that may be. I want my house in Spain as well but under no circumstances whatsoever would it be a San Jose house after the way that the company have treated us over the last 5 years as beautiful as Jumilla is.

Best wishes to all of you who want the Santa Ana project to proceed and I hope you are successful as it will probably increase the chance of a return of our deposit.  James.
