Haven't been on for a while. Has anybody got any definitive information on when the long awaited new Castellon airport is actually going to open? There seems to be a drip feeding of information, and even that appears to have dried up. I often wonder will the damn thing ever open? It would seem that all the infrastructure is in place, so what is the problem now? Is it simply down to the economic situation? Has Ryanair actually made any real commitment to this airport or is it a case of the usual hype from them? They have just thrown the toys out of the pram(again) and pulled out of Belfast City Airport because they aren't getting a quick enough decision re their proposal to increase the length of the runway. I seem to remember them pulling out of Valencia in a huff a few years ago, because they could not get their own way. The usual attempt at economic blackmail, although something tells me they did return with a limited service later. I may be wrong about that, not sure.

Does anyone know what has happened to Jenny and David Abel who run the Marina D'Or Forum as their Forum website does not appear to be available as of today? Has the site been pulled?
It is now Christmas and still no sign of the website concerned re-appearing. How come no-one else who contributed to that Forum is sufficiently interested to come on here and give their views, good, bad or indifferent. Looks as though they have all been let down, in which case you would expect plenty of comments and opinions.

In the Bedfordshire on Sunday newspaper of 1/3/09 an article on page 7 states that the CPS have decided NOT to pursue a prosecution against Alexander Homes, as what occurred was put down to poor financial management and not any offence related to fraud or theft legislation (or words to that effect) The local MP has raised the issue and wants people affected by the decision to contact him. Sorry I can't remember his details, but they can be obtained via www.bedsonsunday.com Click on the Sunday paper link then eventually go to Archives, select the 1 March 2009 edition, and the article is on the top right of page 7. Some justice this. But then nothing is surprising any more!!

It seems from what I can gather that my brother-in-law and the family DO intend to spend 2 or 3 weeks at Marina D'Or in July, so it looks as if their apt will not be available. Sorry I can't be of more help to you. I do hope you manage to get sorted out. Good luck.
