We have successfully used Costaluz Lawyers to reclaim our deposit from the Spanish bank BBVA from an off-plan purchase we attempted in 2007. The whole process has taken about 10 months.. We opted for a no-win, no-fee contract as we were very skeptical that we would actually get any money back. This month we got about 70% of the money back, including some interest, and we are delighted. We were able to correspond with them by email in English and Maria, Keith and the rest of the team were really helpful and kept us informed along the way. All we had to do was send them the documentation at the outset and set up a Power of Attorney with a Spanish Notary. Highly recommended!

Just had a phone call from Fadesa in Costa Esuri to say that our Rago-1 apartment is ready now. Along with all others in blocks 1,2,3,6,7,8,13,14.

This after the solicitor told us it would be September. Big rush now to get things organized. Ideally we wanted to sell pre-completion - if anyone can recommend an agent for selling this would help!

We are also in Rago 1 (block 8) with an original completion date of March too. On Friday (March 2nd) I phoned Fadesa office in London and they told me it wasn't to be complete until September.

My solicitor has received notification that it will be ready in June. I phoned our agent in Spain and they are saying September.

Take your pick! I'm waiting for more confirmation at the moment.

I don't have an answer about the utility connections, but we have also bought on Rago 1 (block 8). We don't yet have a competion date, opinions vary from June07 to Sept07. Do you have a completion date yet?
