Hi all,
Just got back from Almoradi and altho. no building work going on, we did manage to get into our apartment for the first time ever (not easy, as it's on the 3rd floor!). Some good news, or we thought so - the apartments are lovely! We have a 3 bed, 2 bath apartment and the tiling is finished in both bathrooms, one is brown and cream and one is blue and cream. Both really nicely done. The kitchen is tiled, also very nice and our spiral staircase is fitted, even tho. it's completely rusty! We were really pleased with the standard and even the internal walkways have suspended tiled ceilings, so all the pipes and wires are completely out of sight. The lift shafts look complete, with the exception of the lifts being fitted. The concrete stairs are all in and there are windows in the stair ways, so they will be nice and light and airy.
There are a lot of building materials in the centre of the building, tiles etc. ready for when the building recommences and the pool area looked a good size and is in absolutely the right position. We were there at midday and the pool was almost completely in the sunshine by then, so should warm up nice and quickly.
It does, however, look as tho.vandals have managed to get into the site as one of the front doors on the ground floor had been forced open with a crowbar and part of the balcony walkway blockwork on the 3rd floor had been pushed over into the area on the ground floor by the pool.
We did also go and see Laura, who really didn't tell us anything new or anything that none of you have already heard. She was, however, quite keen to reassure us that we would be in our apartment for this summer. We thought for this to happen they'd have to start work almost immediately and have a very large team of builders on site!
My sister, who is currently driving back, also stumbled across the Grupo Urbasa office in Elche, quite accidently and chanced her luck, rung the doorbell and was admitted and someone came and spoke to her about our develpment. Altho. they said almost the same as Laura, they did tell her that contractually they had to be finished by July.
Hopefully, when she gets back and we can work out the technology, she has some pictures of our apartment and the development, so we will try and get them loaded onto the site within the next week or so.
Having now managed to see our apartment, we are definetly all feeling more positive and will just try and wait patiently. Almoradi is a beautiful place and I'm sure it will be all worth the wait.
