Well I have just come back from the vet and Bella is a wee fighter and holding her own. The vet can't give me any guarantees and says as her tongue is so bad with gangerene that she will lose a large chunk of it, If it goes to below a third she will not be able to drink or eat and that is a great worry for me. I am hoping and praying that she will continue to fight the infection and she could still have a good life if she manages to keep half her tongue. I will know the outcome of this in seven to ten days. I don't know when I will get the wee soul home we just have to wait and see how she manages to drink or eat.Today friends have cut down all the cacoons and burned them . Unfortuanately I have taken an adverse reaction myself to the poison that was in the foaming coming from Bella's mouth and will post Bella's progress when I know more.I at no time was intending to scaremonger anyone. It was only friendly advice given to the couple who bought our house as a concerned parent and pet owner. The information regarding the Caterpillars was given to me by the vet at Pets World in San Miguel....who are experts, and the local papers Round Town News and Coastrider have both featured articles recently on this matter which I was hoping others would have read.

Well Folks
Contary to the wrong information given by the reply to my warning off the harm these caterpillars can do. I am just back this evening from the vets in Aspe where I have had to leave my precious little friend Bella due to the fact she licked one of THESE caterpillars and if she survives the night at the very least will lose part of or her whole tongue. As you can imagine I am devastated as I thought bringing her here she would be safer. Yet again I would like to stress not SCAREMONGER anyone who has pets or young children to be VERY careful as the consequences are and can be fatal to pets.

Hi Folks
Jim nearly fell of his chair laughing when the questionair came by email....He let me complete it.......and I didn't mince my words....as usual no response.....what a farce they have no communication with each other at all . We received a letter from Medsea to say our property was ready to take possession of!!!! isn't that a laugh., considering it has been bought by someone else. We are very happy at the moment turning our new casa into a home....and guess what NO SNAGGING....and the title deeds with our lawyer...AMAZING, built by a small builder and value for money. Wishing you all good luck and hoping it all finally gets sorted out, I just couldn't handle the stress anymore, probably more difficult for me as I have been over here since last September and watching the shambles unfolding very very slowly, really hope and pray it does come to completion soon for you all as I know only to well how frustrating it has been.

Hope you and your family will be happy in No 27 we are happier with our new property and all my furniture wouldn't have fitted into no 27. The views from your house is fantastic and thats what we bought into. We were a bit naive about buying off plan and a lot of people have made a lot of money out of our inexperence. There was quite an extensive snagging list for the house, although we were never given the opportunity to give it to Quara. Watch out expecially for the marble tile in the lounge in front of the main window, it has been damaged and filled in with cement, not acceptable for a house of that cost.You are expecting a topgrade finish which we just didn't think was there.. Also if you have any animals and especially the children you should be aware that there are catapillars that come up from the pine forest below, if touched they can make children very ill and kill dogs (speak to your vet who can give you a prescription for an emergency injection and have antihisames for the children till you get them to a doctor. The dangerous period is March/April, No 27 was crawling with them and they had cacooned up in the corners of the windows, they cannot be knocked off and the only safe way to distroy them is to burn them....check out all the info online....don't want to worry you, but you should be aware. We weren't and I must admit been given this information was the final straw for me as I have a wee puppy and two grandchildren.Hope all goes smoothly for you and your family.

Thanks for the good wishes and concerns. Yes it was a hard decision to make but we had just been completely sickened off and Jim could also forsee more problems re; parking etc, he was also disappointed in the finish of the house in comparison to the one we have now bought We have been fortunate to secure another property and it all went smoothly and we moved in last Friday. Things are shaping up nicely and it is beginning to feel like home. The whole experience has been a nightmare but we just have to put it down to experience and money isn't everthing. We wish you all good luck for the future and hope things finally get resovled for you all. Will keep an eye on the sight to see how things are going and we wouldn't be surprised to see that no 27 is sold quite quickly, maddening that they have made so much money out of us for nothing...anyhoo.
