Hi - actually it is not CAM.  I had better not say publically who though, but they are a Spanish bank.   

We are not at all happy as you can imagine - very disappointing.  Hopefully this thread will forewarn other buyers that may be considering taking out a developer mortgage.  

Thank goodness we have Maria on this site - she is now taking a look at the case for us.

We have bought a property at Vinas del Golf - we completed in December 07 - but there are still many properties empty at the development.

We were last in Spain in March and work on Marina seems to have stopped at the moment but work is continuing on the Hyatt Hotel.  You are correct, a Dubai based company has taken over the building of the hotel and the estimated completion date is end of 2009 - or so we were told by the development office on site.

Everything seems to have slowed down generally in the area and there is still no sign of the shopping area being started.

However, the golf course was very busy and what work has been done by Evemarina looks good.  The standard of finish at Vinas is very good - only one or two minor snags but they are being dealt with.

Hope you complete soon.  The area is lovely and cannot wait till we get back there in June.

We are also buying a property through ADH - Vinas del Golf nr Casaeres.  We are using the lawyers they recommended who seem very efficient.  So far all in going well and we certainly have no complaints - the development looks fantastic but we are still waiting for a completion date to be confirmed.

I think we were very lucky we visited their office in Puerto Banus.

We are buying a property at Vinas del Golf (Nr Estepona) due for completion at the end of April this year.

Can anyone recommend a good mortgage broker/bank (that speak English) as the broker we have spoken to so far has quoted very high additional costs/fees.

Has anyone used a UK mortgage lender for a Euro mortgage successfully to save on these seemingly high set up costs?

We would welcome any advice you can give us.
