I sold my flat in Calahonda 2 weeks ago. I bought off plan in 2003 and the price  I sold for 2 weeks ago was 48% below the price I paid in 2003. However, if I work out the net yield you would get on the 2011 sale price of 110,000 euros - you are still only going to get a yield of 3.5% after expenses. So for these properties to look appealing to investors either rents have to go up or prices have to fall further for yields to become attractive.

I am in the process of cancelling my contract at a development in Cadiz. It should have been completed in December 06. They have also been unreasonable about having to pay for the developer's mortgage fees even if we were to take on a different mortgage. Do I have a case for compensation?

My solicitor has just informed that it will be a few weeks before the paperwork is finished in order to start completion on the first phase....that might take us to 2008! Has anyone visited the site recently. I hope to get down there at the beginning of November to take a look.

I was informed last night that I will not complete on my apartment in Block 6 until September at the earliest which a bit of a shame as I was really looking forward to spending some time out there over the summer. Never mind...the longer we wait the better it will be when we eventually move in!!
