In my Casares claim I have received the main depost back and interest. However, as I virtually demanded to pay the solicitors fees before the judges decision was known I was amazed as I was told at the start that all I should pay were the despersements until the Judgment was known.

I am still waiting for my court costs to be returned (for the bank claim) as I lost over 14k Euro after the solicitor went to court with a liquidated builder...I asked why they could not go against the builder and the bank together and was told it wasn't possible. Then when the Judgment was finally received I discovered that the solicitor had piggy backed a 'no win no fee' claim in my court hearing....when I complained I eventually got 10% off my costs...but really it should have been more like 50% surely? Also every time they tell me that they have 'recovered' my funds they tell me of the massively expensive deductions and make it look like i was told about this at the start of the court claim - which I wasn't. My interest was paid in June 2021 so I am hoping that everything is sorted by the end of this year...and then I seek the local college opinion on events.

Kavanagh you seem to know so much about legal issues!

I assume that the contract that your talking about Edze is a standard one? If there is a set completion date and it goes beyond that I suspect you would have the upper hand. Are you not using a conveyancing solicitor? I know it's hard to know just who to trust.

Please pm me or let me know WHICH lawyers you used. It seems some lawyers/solicitors are not as reputable as you would like to think.
