When we were staying in our apartment on Casares del Sol 1-9 April, there were hardly any builders on site at CDSS - very little work going on, if any. We were also there in February and there was lots of activity then, not sure what has happened in between.

We flew to Gib once and Andrew nearly missed the flight home! The queue across the border during the summer months can take up to an hour, once took us 90 minutes, although not when catching a plane. Also we waited longer to pick up the car from Auriga than we have ever waited in Malaga. With two young children, walking over the border to and from the car rental can take 30 minutes rather than 10 if they are playing up, which is why we chose to drive over the border, drop off me, the kids and the luggage, then Andrew went to take the car back over the border!! However, we will try Easyjet to Gib if it's the cheapest flight, even though I hate Gatwick! We recommend Gib to potential guests without young children!

Steve Garrott from Paintbusters posted info about security, I think around December or January. He's an ex-policeman. If you can find his post, I recall that it was quite useful. He can do shutters / utility enclosures for you. I think it depends what floor you are on as well.
