Just spent a week and a bit out in Portofino. This was my third trip and enjoying it better every time I go. Apartments are lovely, swimming pool is great and weather was fab.

Busy weekend nights and a little more quiet on other nights.

Received word last week the NIE Certificates are with the solicitor so it took about 3 months and it was free.  As I said before we took our forms to the Spanish consulate in London.

MRI will charge 300 euros if you are not in their lifetime after care scheme.  If you are in the scheme it is free.  We are in block 6 so will be completing in Feb/Mar 08 so will be looking around for such a service soon.  If you fancy doing yourself there are books you can buy that will help take you though the process.  I blieve it is a good idea to take pic's of any faults so they can see the problem.  I am not sure I will going down the route of making sure all the grouting is level using a spirit level but I believe some firms will do that.  As the developers will be on-site until at least the summer of 08 I am hoping any faults will be quickly resolved.

We applied in London in August and were not asked for any money either.  We asked for the completed details to be sent to our solicitor in Spain.

I have dealt with Same Jones and can vouch for the information she gives.  Block 6 was being painted on the outside in June, in October they still had not fully done this and the insides were still being painted.  Blocks 6 and 7 will be ready in Feb 08.  Ask Sam to be sure about your block.
