Gotcha!!!

Now everyone knows how abusive you can be.

Do you really expect anyone to take you seriously with your campaign against the developer?

If you are on Phase 1 or 2 you have no chance.  The construction company is covered by a clause in the contract where they can add extra time to the contract if they had conditions where they couldnt work due to circumstances out of their control, this is detailed in the contract.

Hi Mug,

We have been looking into this very recently as we will be moving to the Murcia area in July.  The total cost we have come up with including 4 days self drive van hire, tolls, diesel, two overnight stops in motels and Eurotunnel we have estimated about £1200.00

We have allowed about £400.00 worth of fuel for a long wheel base sprinter van.  We have found a van hire company based in Salisbury which do one way hire, from UK to Spain (Murcia area) or Spain to UK.    If you are driving your own vehicle you can knock off about £500.00 from the £1200.00 and obviously fuel costs may vary.

The best route we have been advised is Poole to Santander on an overnight ferry crossing and then about a 10 hour drive.  (We are not doing it this way cos my Mrs gets ferry sick.....arrggghhh!!).

We think overall the total costing more or less balances itself out.

If you need any more info, you can send me a PM.

D.

Hi Strawhead,

If you log to homesinspain.com this is where the award has come from, I have looked into the award and from what i can make out it is based on the design of the houses and the area that they are in. The award is for the region of Albecete.

I have been waiting 2 years for my build to complete and have been frustrated with the slow progress. However on recent visits I have been impressed with how the site has seemed to hit high gear with houses up to roof leval and many more close behind.

I think everyone is now bored with waiting for the showhouse to complete, But from what i have heard the technical guys from finca parcs are very pickey and have made the builders redo anything they are not happy with, (thats not patch things up, its more like take it down and do it again!)

From what I have managed to see the build quality is to a high standard so in a way im glad that they are taking longer and not just "chucking" the houses together like the Polaris tosh we used to own on the coast.

Hope this is of some help. D
