It all depends on how many flights arrive at the same time. We arrived last week and didn't notice anything different from normal. For Terminal 2 they have about 4 lanes of Biometric Passpost  Control. I expect these will be tricky with children so you will have to queue for the 2 manned desks but I don't expect you'll be unduly delayed. Be careful to allow enough time when flying home though. It is the check in desks that are causing the problem not passport control.

Work to replace the bridges commenced in Spetember and now looks to be getting near an end. once fininshed "our" bit of the Paseo will be the best.

It's been a while since I looked on here so only seeing this now. Barry is still in Fuengirola but appears to have other business interests and is no longer involved with Y-Internet (who own the equipment in Don Juan).

For anyone interested Land Lines (so high speed unlimited internet) is now available. There are no part time deals available for this so if you want it you have to be prepared to pay a monthly fee (€40-50€ usually).

The Paseo was practically completed and looking good by the beginning of May. There was an issue with getting possession of some land they needed in front of the Olymio 3 building. This has now been resolved and the land is being cleared. There is also some sort of issue with the 3 bridges over the dry river beds. No work has been done on these recently and they have been left in a mess.

Since the beginning of May they have already dug up several places. Initially to put pipework in for new toilet blocks on the beach. Now they are digging holes to put in underground bins. So expect disruption for a while yet.

We went for a walk along the Paseo yesterday and were surprised by the quicker pace of work! Apparently there is a new contractor. The road is closed all the way from the Carrebean to the Calypso and there is work going on along that entire section.

Wider footpaths and less parking is very much the theme. In one section, based on where the new kerbs are being laid it looks like the road will only be 1 lane wide.

There are so many more people worknig on it now completion within the original 14 month time scale now looks just about possible.
