Hi
I have recently purchased an apartment on Dream Hills II just outside of Torrevieja.  The President  and committe members of our community have just introduced new rules for the pool area of no sun loungers.   Is this common practice in Spain as they have told us it is.   Any committee members out there or Presidents are your pool rules the same!!!!!!

In response to Sandra regarding the pool loungers I agree with her totally in that loungers should be allowed provided they are taken away at the end of the day.  What is the point of a pool if not to sit round!!!!!! socialise and enjoy the surroundings.  I do accept however that the artist impression of the layout of the development led us all to believe that the pool area would be bigger, off site and includes pictures of parasols and loungers.  Unfortunately reality is a different matter.  I would like to have had a more detailed layout of the development before I purchased.  If I had known that the pool was to be placed in between the two blocks I wouldn't have purchased.  I simpathise with the people who have bought either side of the pool however they must have been told by the developers that this would be the case.  Again possibly not.

Another point regarding the decision of no loungers, being a community member, I would have liked to have had the option of a democratic vote.  surely the president and members are not the only ones who can make a decision.

Another point I would like to make and wonder if anyone else feels the same is the quality of build.   My husband and I were extremely disappointed with the quality and finish of the apartment.   The so called builders clean was a joke!  It took us 3 whole days to clean the apartment to a standard that people would want to live in.   Some of our snagging points have never been sorted and we have now taken the keys away from the show home as on two occassions when the builders did visit the property they left it open!!!!!   Owning a first floor apartment we have had a major problem with a leak that unfortunately caused damage to the apartment below.  This was caused by bad workmanship by the plumbers employed by the builder.  One of our bathrooms has had to be dug up to find the pipes that were not connected properly.  Luckily all this and the damage to the apartment below has been covered by the builders insurance.  They have been excellant in communication and customer service.  Just a warning if your shower tray does not drain water very well you could have the same problem!!!!
