My email was from Angie herself! Here is the mail I received today from Atlas which doesn't make sense to me at all! (I didnt do the bold black writing by the way, she did) :

 

 

We would like to inform you that your builder has contacted us in order to inform you that your property esc 3 2º Vegamar I is now ready for completion.

Please contact our Moving- in Department in  order to make your travel arrangements as soon as possible, as your builder is willing to sign your Title Deeds at the Notary the 8^th and 10^th April. After these dates, we cannot guarantee when your builder will be available to sign deeds again.

(HOW STRANGE!) Can anyone shed any light on this? what is Atlas playing at?!

Hi All

I haven't completed on my property yet but just got an email from Atlas saying the builder (Idearco) wants to complete for the dates 8th April and 10th April. Im really confused as to what to think.

I thought they are going bankrupt and so can they still complete on the property? Can anyone advise on what I should do next. Can I still complete on my property then? Why are Atlas still business as usual? Thanks for any replies.

Hi All,

I am due to complete on my property through Atlas and they are recommending I use Aroca. I have bought in Almoradi near Torrevieja. I would like to know if its worth going with an independent solicitor rather than Aroca as Ive heard they can take a long time with the title deeds amongst other things.Can anyone tell me what percentage Aroca charge and what are the charges in comparison to an independent solicitor in the area.  Finally can someone recommend a solicitor please? I am very grateful for any help!

Hi All,

Can anyone help with this problem regarding the NIE number. I have already applied for the number in person in Elche last year. I was told by Atlas they would collect after a few weeks but I now know they did not obtain as they failed to take my authorisation to collect the number. They now say I will have to collect in person. I am in the middle of arranging a mortgage and they require my NIE for the mortgage. Is there not anyway for Atlas to obtain my NIE on my behalf? Can I not receive the number without me flying out to Spain?
