Uh oh.

Don't like the sound of that at all. I mentioned earlier the stress involved in buying abroad. The stress meter has just gone up a notch. I had better start making enquiries regarding this immediately. This would definately affect the resale potential and therefore future profits.

Hi Samanthas.

That's encouraging. Our sales rep (Welsh lad who seems to be a decent guy) is convinced that Corvera in THE resort with the biggest potential over the coming years. He has assured us that we will see a large increase in the value of the property over a 5 year period. He argues that compared to other developements, and other ready built properties, Corvera is the one that "ticks all the boxes".  After some rather searching questions from myself regarding the problems with re sales in Spain, he says that he cannot see this being a problem at Corvera.

I hope that he is right. We have purchased as an investment or future pension so I hope that I am not wasting my money. If all that is promised comes to pass, such as the Hotel, the European Golf Headquarters and the new Airport  then I am sure that we will be quids in. But with the De Vere hotel group already not 100% commited to the project then I am a little worried...................... I have made very good profits on British property in the past but Spain is an unknown quantity to me.

Hi Robbiejb

Are you sure about that Runway orientation of North South. I only ask because that is a little unusual unless the Airport is close to the coast and prevailing Geography and Sea Breezes require it. Most runways run predominant;y East West (or close to it) Such as Malaga and Alicante. Just wondering where the info comes from??

Regarding not being able to overfly Corvera due to the Mountains, don't you believe it. You should see some of our arrivals and departures into and out of Spanish Airports (again Malaga and Alicante). We can drop them in on a sixpence if necessary. If we are fairly light, the Boeing 737 300 goes up like a lift, even with a reduced thrust (Assumed temperature) takeoff.

I am also interested though as I have just put down a deposit on a 3 bed penthouse apartment at Corvera. I hope it turns out to be a good investment?

Regards, Jetjockey.

Hmmm......

That's a bit upsetting.

My sales rep told me that De Vere were going to be running the Hotel at Corverra and that gave me a big confidence boost.

Now it appears they may not be running the Hotel.

I'm begining to wonder what else he has or has not told me??

Maybe it's time to pull the plug on that first 15% payment and ask for the €3,000 deposit back! I must confess to not being pleased at having to pay for an air con unit which I expected to be standard fit for €285,000!

Regards, Jetjockey.
