Just got back from La Finca Golf, Algorfa, late last night.  Our first experience of an Earthquake too.  Something woke us both few mins after 5am (Sunday) and within a split second it felt like a train running under the bed.  Couldn't get back to sleep for ages after and am sure I heard after shock about 5.30am.  Local Radio station reported Epicentre San Miguel and 3.3 on the Richter scale.  Very scary!!  Must have been very scary for those of you experiencing both the British quake and the San Miguel one yesterday (as our neighbours on La Finca did)?

Gorgeous weather over there by the way.

Hi, just thought I would let you know that we contacted the Builders last week to find out when we would be connected to permanent electricity supply.  We have now been contacted by the electricity company (access required) and they should be connecting us next week.

Happy New Year too.

Not sure about Sales in Spain.  White goods, we used 'Pedraza's' on the corner at the traffic lights in Algorfa town (believe they have now moved to larger shop in Algorfa).  Again good service and advise.  Delivered and installed oven, hob, washing machine and fridge/freezer 2 days later. Good after sales service too as had problem with fridge door but sorted quickly, no quabbles.

We got our beds from The Bed Specialists in La Zenia (just off main roundabout heading south toward Cabo Roig). 
Tel: 96 673 01 57.  English owners, English size beds, good quality.  Good Service, delivered next day.  Some freebies chucked in too.

Hi

We are on R7, must be near Peter-c if you face the golf course.  Solicitors emailed us today (25th July) to say they signed the completion papers in Almoradi today (Power of Attorney).  Paid builders and received keys at end of April, without deeds, so we could move in.  Got fed up waiting  so made decision to go ahead without deeds as solicitors said normal practice (unless you have Spanish mortgage then they need deeds before they release money). 

Went out again for 2 weeks at the end of June and just before we left the swimming pool was cleared of the debris and filled with water, it took about 5 days to fill but no chlorine so didn't risk a swim. Had a few BBQ parties to meet new neighbours.  Also got outstanding snags dealt with but had to do a bit of chasing.  Going out again in September.  Can't wait.
