hi sicknote,

just to clarify, we are on phase one. Bought back in feb 2006, and at that early stage I was advised clearly that the pool would be a communal pool where there would be a charge for usage.

Perhaps you were advised differently.

regards

Bit mistified ref sick notes posting as i am sure i have been at entertainment in the aquadel for the month of july.... which were twice weekly alongside a quiz night on a friday night.

Personally we have annual family membership with the view that its good value for money as it includes swimming, use of the gym etc.  Cannot fault the facilities as there is a lifeguard in attendance at all times, pool and facilities are clean and well maintained.

Having friends with properties where they pay for pool maintainence built into their annual charges, I can only feel that personally we have a very good deal. Our pool, unlike others can be used all year round. The staff are excellent and very helpful. The addition of the gym, whilst small is very well recieved by all. The classes are an added bonus.

The bar is good, and its really great to see it also being used by locals and groups. The food is good and as per rob and becky I would say the value is excellent.

I think perhaps we should be thankful that we have a pool and a development that is continuing to try and develop. Perhaps some would pefer to see it being closed so they have another reason to moan??

I would also highlight that to those who are trying to sell their properties, a smart pool complex which can be used all year round is a huge plus on a selling point.

Still you cant please everybody.....

hi last time i was over was in october, and it was not in the aquadel bar that we were sushed in,  it was a bar in the villiage as they were having a bingo night, which is fair enough..

as I said it just needs to decide that if they are having a night where its not entirely suitable for other patrons to be there who are not engaging with the event of the night i.e bingo, pool night or whatever then they need to advertise that they will not be serving food etc.... just avoids people feeling that they need to rush their food and feeling that they are in the way....

We got an email from aquadel centre advertising the event of the bar reopening and I thought that all members of the centre got the email, whilst we dont live there all year round we did take out yearly membership as a way to support the centre.  It will be the same with the bar and we hope that the new venture proves to be a success.  We hope that there is some entertainment on at some stages  as it proved very very popular with not only our developement but others nearby and We could see how if you were living there all year it would fantastic to know that there will be different events on for your enjoyment.

Far from thinking san cayetano is a ghetto as others have said, we would think that we have been very lucky when we compare ourselves with friends that purchased on other developments that remain un finished and are still paying very hefty charges in comparasion to ourselves. We just hope all goes well and we are sure that no matter who is running the bar its an welcome addition to the community.

well I am sure all of you got the email today announcing the reopening of the bar on the 22nd of feb..

I am sure that many like ourselves are very relieved that a bar is opening at all... we do actually visit other establishments in the village, and have found some of them brilliant.

The only issue is that in some places in the villiage  sometimes you can feel as if you are in the way if you are there for a meal with family when perhaps the quiz night is on or pool night or bingo night.

This can be an issue if you are looking to enjoy a relaxing meal, We do understand that entertainment is a main stay of an establishment but also so it the food side and when you walk in and are asked to shush when you are just arriving as people are trying to enjoy the quiz, it can be very offputting. and makes you inclined not to go there again. It might be a case of perhaps not serving food and announcing this when other entertainment is on....

and we would agree with john and ann and various others we can only hope that the new owners are sucessful in their venture... and that our development does not end up like many others with closed up facilities..

hi all,

just to confirm that they accepted 6 as our family as i have four kids.. this perhaps applies to children only but if you have 4 + kids dont worry they will accept that it is a larger family...
