Just to let you know that I have posted a video of the island on Utube - google utube davebangor and it is easily found if you want to have a look. I videoed the interior of the old house but am having trohble uploading it at present. Hope I might get it uploaded over the weekend.

I have just returned from La Torre having spent 2 spells of 2 weeks each at La Torre.

We keep going back to the Alhambra on the industrial estate - 4 times in the last 2 weeks and the food has been consistently excellent . I am told that the Jaipur Palace close by is also excellent. I also went to Gente de Pasta in Roldan based on a recommendation but whilst we had an excellent night mwith friends the meal was let down by a very ordinary entrecote steak (not the hardest thing in the world to get right) and some fairly curt, impatient service.

Of the restaurants on La Torre the Tratorria is probably the best option in terms of value for money but the hotel has an excellent Sunday brunch buffet  (1.30 to 4pm) price €30 but with massive choice of excellent food.

PS By the way the Alhambra does the best "tenderlin" steak I have tasted in ages, beautifully marinaded, season and cooked exactly as requested -  my mouth is watering! They also cater well for vegetarians if that is an issue.

Hi Guys

I am happy to tell you that I returned from La Torre on Sunday and there is a fairly substantial posting made this week with my pics and those sent by Nic and byTim.

I have also a short video of the island building taken from the smaller island and also a video of the inside of the Old House. Slight problem is that the HD camcorder I bought didn't come with an appropriate cable so I have order one on Amazon! Will let you know when & where it can be seen. Not anything too exciting but if you haven't been there recently it may be of interest.

Glad to hear there is still some interest in the blog. I met a couple of Terrazas residents when I was over and I hope to get a game of golf there next time.

I completely trust the source of this information but have no proof to substantiate it. My purpose in posting this is to save potential buyers from possible loss.

I have already used one of mine and at the pro shop they ask for ID to confirm that you are the person named on the voucher - therefore they have no resale value.
