Description

This is a beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bathroom 4th floor apartment which has a prime first line beachfront situation with uninterrupted sea views round to Estepona, Marbella and the mountains behind. Only the community gardens lie between the apartment and the beach.

The apartments main bedroom and living room open on to a large wrap around balcony of some 21m sq. - a large part of this can now be enclosed by glass curtains we had installed in January 2017. The polished marble floors stay cool underfoot, helped by the ceiling fans and hot and cold air conditioning in the lounge and bedrooms. You can eat and relax on the terrace – it’s plenty big enough – pretty much all year round.

All the furniture in the living and dining area was new in 2016, and the apartment was also completely redecorated.

There’s a 40" smart TV, a Blu-ray player plus a mini hi-fi with multiple inputs. There's broadband via Wi-Fi (fast enough to stream BBC iPlayer etc if you use a VPN) in the apartment and there’s also open Wi-Fi in the public areas of the complex.

There are 2 bathrooms, one has a bath with a shower over; the other a shower. There’s a large modern kitchen complete with a fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine. That plus the hob and oven were all brand new in 2016. Also included is an ice box for making use of the gardens or the beach.

Linen and towels are included, as is a welcome pack with those useful immediate essentials including tea, coffee, milk, butter, cornflakes etc.

La Noria III is a large well maintained complex just off the N340 / A7 at San Luis de Sabinillas. There are 2 swimming pools (not open all year round) – one full sized for adults and a separate childrens pool, situated in well-kept large gardens with shade provided by palm trees and palm leafed canopies. Children are also catered for with 2 play areas and a fenced small football pitch plus there are paddle tennis courts for all ages.

The accommodation has 24 hour gated security and an underground private car park space with secure lift access to the apartment. From the car park space to the apartment front door you will walk no more than 20m.

This apartment is all about location. To get to the beach you walk through the beautiful gardens under a shady pergola to the secure gate straight out on to the Paseo Maritimo – the promenade – and right on to Sabinillas’s blue flag beach by two of the many chiringuitos (beach bars / restaurants). The blue flag beaches stretch down the coast to La Duquesa and beyond for nearly 8km to the low cliffs and rocky coves at Punta Chullera and have children’s play areas at regular intervals. There are also lifeguards during the Spanish high season (mid June to mid September).

Please note - this apartment is now registered with the Junta de Andalucia as a Holiday Rental; a copy of the certificate is held by us. This is a now legal requirement for any short term let in Andalucia.

Getting there

Gibraltar airport is about 30 minutes or so by road, Malaga is about an hour.
Gibraltar means crossing the border on foot to get to a rental car or a taxi from La Linea so it’s not ideally suited if you’re taking a few cases…
Malaga offers the greatest choice of flights and car hire but if you’re using the main car rental companies you can expect a queue (we've been caught for well over an hour!) - try Bruno's Car Rental (based in Duquesa) who will meet you in the parking area (La Linea too). You can collect a car from Bruno’s at the airport and drop it off in Duquesa after you arrive – then do the opposite when leaving. It’s cheaper than getting an airport transfer and you can get some shopping more easily too.

About the area

Once you’re on the paseo, it’s just a short stroll to the beachfront bars and restaurants of Sabinillas where you’ll find just about all types of cuisine. Behind the paseo is a traditional Spanish town with everything you’ll need for your holiday, including the area’s medical centre, banks (on 'Wall Street'), butchers and supermarkets.

If you keep on going along the paseo, the Puerto de La Duquesa is another 15 minutes along. It’s one of the Costa del Sols best marinas which offers a more cosmopolitan feel than Sabinillas with the cafes, bars and restaurants which line the north and west side of the marina.

The famed Manilva Sunday market and 'boot sale' is now one of the biggest in the area and is but a few minutes walk away – it lasts well in to the day from the early start.

There's a smaller market right in front of the apartment on a Friday - step out of the garden gate on the Paseo and you are in the middle of it.

Golfers are catered for by 3 courses in easy reach – La Duquesa is behind the marina of Duquesa; the Finca Cortesin is a few minutes drive away, Valderrama is about 20 minutes towards Sotogrande and El Paraiso isn’t much further. There’s many, many more not far away.

You can go horse riding and trekking further inland – we have seen riders on the beach and there is an annual horse festival in the summer which ends up right in front of the apartment.

Heading east, you’re just 20 minutes from Estepona with the world famous resort of Puerto Banus just a few minutes further on. If you want the feel of a big city, then Marbella is around a 30 minute drive with the shopping ranging from the El Corte Inglese to the sprawling La Canada centre to the infinite variety of small shops and boutiques lining the cobbled streets of old Marbella.

Go inland a short distance and you find the traditional Spanish white hill village of Casares perched on the side of the hills under the Sierra Crestellina. With any luck you’ll see the massive griffon vultures or other raptors soaring over the village. Further north and about an hours drive away you can get to the natural area around Los Reales de Sierra Bermeja – the 1500m high mountain you can see from the balcony of the apartment.

Head south and you’ll find the purpose built marina at Sotogrande close by. Gibraltar with duty free shops galore, the famous Barbary apes and of course the peak (accessible by cable car) is within 30 minutes drive; go a little further beyond Algeciras to the beaches of Tarifa where you can indulge in windsurfing and all manner of water sports.
