Pinoso Area Description

Pinoso is a thriving town situated in the foothills of the Sierra del Coto mountains. It is surrounded by pine, olive and almond groves, and vineyards. It is famous for its wine, red and white marble, and salt, which is drawn from the waters of local Cabec de la Sal. It has a healthy economy and the residents (approx 7,000) are very friendly. There is a modern medical centre, schools and a sports centre with indoor and outdoor pools, football pitches, tennis courts and a well equipped gym. There are plenty of shops, supermarkets, and a daily indoor market which sells a range of fresh local produce.
