A day out at La Quinta Golf and Country Club

Today we visited the prestigious La Quinta Golf & Country Club in Marbella and toured around the excellent facilities they have to offer. We met up with Fabio Peral and he explained what they are doing and why, and also showed us around the 5 Star Hotel, Health Spa, Restaurant and, oh yes! The magnificent 27 hole golf course and training facilities, which we will be using over the next few weeks as we learn how to play golf.

Loved that video, looked up the prices and they are a bit steep, can you negotiate a cheaper price for EOS members who come out to golf a lot.

Maureen, sign up for their offers (the web address is under the video). I have to say that there is a lot of value included in their green fees and their service is brilliant. The course is wonderful too.

Yes a great video today so clear,looking forward to seeing more of the coarse, as l am just learning to play golf myself the lessons will be a godsend, as susan said l cant wait for the first lesson.Pat.

Fab Video! (ahem) The Golf course at La Quinta is brill and the prices are very reasonable when you consider what facilities they are offering in addition to Golf, leave alone their special offers. Can't wait to start learning Golf myself and going on their course, not to mention relaxing in the Spa.

Just checked out the green fees special rates !
I have to agree with Maureen 77e a round and then 33e for a buggy is on the expensive side. Most courses charge a green fee which includes a buggy. unless you go to San Roque or Valderrama
Yes they are promoting 5* facilities but how many can you use at one time.
I'm sure the Bar and Restaurant will also reflect its 5* status

Good luck with the lessons.
Remember. Keep your head still, chin up, bend your legs, keep your left arm straight don't grip the club to tight .
line up your feet and shoulders in the direction you want the ball to go.
All you do then is swing the club and hope you hit the ball.

Personally, for us in Dubai, we always find green fees in Spain very reasonable, and 100 euros for a round with buggy is cheaper than you'll find here most of the time!! But you may find cheaper offers for La Quinta when booking through a golf "broker" there.
Troon manage two of the courses here in Dubai and I must say they are amongst the most expensive. What's wrong with "just going to play golf", as Fabio said? That's what most golfers want to do!! They don't want a spa after!!
But I'm looking forward to a round at La Quinta this summer - how about it, Susan??

We normaly play at Estepona Golf they usually have good deals.We do the 'Early Bird Special' play before 10am and for a buggy 9 holes and a cooked breakfast it is only 30Eu pp or for the same but 18 holes is 55Eu pp.Or any time of the day they do a deal 2 persons, buggy and 18 holes for 90EU Total!!

Nice infomercial for the Golf Course/Spa/Country Club. Disappointing, really. We liked the way you guys were before and personally, I doubt people would want less of you as you said the survey told you. I do understand needing money to carry on, but this seems to be selling out a bit. Sincerely hope you do some more of the down-to-earth bits that endeared you guys to us.

I firmly believe that you get what you pay for in life. If La Quinta have an American style of customer service there then they can't be beaten. American standards are very high. I will certainly check it out.

Nice video and await the lessons to see if I have been doing it right all these years.
