Siesta Show Webisode 63 - Save the Chiringuitos Campaign
We have teamed up with Costa Advice Bureau and the Resident Newspaper in order to help promote the plight of all the Chiringuitos along Andalucia. Chiringuitos (beach bars/ restaurants) have been a major part of Andalucian life for over 20 years yet the Spanish government wants to remove them from the beaches! Why? Because they are trying to apply the "ley de costas" retrospectively, a law that is over 20 years old, without realising what the ramifications would be.

Siesta Show Webisode 51 - Ex-pats follow the broken brick road!
For today's show we visited Coto Real and Arenal developments in the Manilva area of Andalucia, as they have a problem with the road... as in, where is it? See what they had to say about the terrible state of a road that is certainly no fairytale!
After filming this show, Colin spoke to Chris Olsen of the Foreign Residents Office in the Manilva Town Hall. Chris was very understanding and spoke frankly about the situation and stated that this is just one of the issues that the new Mayoress of Manilva, Antonia Muńoz, and her team are facing head on following the somewhat rapid change of administration here in Manilva.
Further Chris was very helpful and spoke of a meeting that they were already arranging, prior to Eye on Spain’s filming, with the developers and the administration of both developments, and also stated that the problem is not as clear cut as it seems to appear to the owners of both developments.
They intend to release a public statement early next week which we will bring to you, so watch this space !
