Javea is a Spanish city which can be found around 80km to the north east of Alicante. It is sandwiched between Denia and Altia. Many people will fly into this region through Alicante airport. This is a very large airport with international flights from all over the world. A few discount airlines also fly to this airport, which means you should be able to get quite a good deal.

The city is in between two bays, the Cabo San Antonio and Cabo San Martin. You will be amazed by the number of cultural and natural attractions which can be found in the area. The climate is quite comfortable in this region, the average summer temperatures are around 40 degrees Celsius. During the winter the temperature rarely falls below 10 degrees Celsius.

Places to Stay in Javea

There are three main parts of Javea, The port, the village and the beach. The port is very busy, there is a lot for you to see and do. There are also a number of nice restaurants.

The village is around 3km inland from the port, there are lots of shops which are great fun to browse. If you want a more traditional experience then you should stay in this area. There are many villas and apartments which can be rented in the village area. It's possible to rent directly from the property owner, or through a travel agent.

The beach areas are extremely popular, especially during the summer months. There are lots of hotels which are based around the beach area, and quite a few apartments. If you enjoy the beach then perhaps you should consider accommodation near to the beach.

Attractions in Javea

There are many exciting attractions and things to see in the area. There are a couple of old churches which are very popular attractions to tourists. An old church is the Inglesia de San Bartolome which was built in the twelfth century.

Another popular attraction with tourists is the Soler Blasco Museum. This has lots of ancient jewelry which is quite an impressive sight!

If you walk up a path from the harbor you will reach Cabo de Nao San Martin, which has an amazing view of the rest of the city. This hill also has a lighthouse. If you don't want to walk then you could consider driving up there, but that is cheating!

There is also a fairly famous nature park known as Montgo. This is on the cost in the city. There are many examples of fauna and flora. There are quite a few rare animals and plants.

If you like golf then you will love this area. You might want to stay in a hotel which is close to one of the popular golfing resorts. Many of these golfing resorts also offer many other features such as swimming pools and tennis courts. This will make sure that the whole family enjoys their holiday!
