mri have provided us with an excellent service and have done everything that they promised and more. Worst thing we ever did going to exhibition in UK.
Thought we were dealing with an honest reputable company.
They are still peddling the untruths about buying off plan and returns you can make.All we wanted was to make a small sum to supplement our pensionable years, which will now have to be extended to pay for this property until we can sell it or have to go and live in it.
When we queried foundations in front of our apartment were told this was for pool and I have written evidence and photos supporting this, even when I queried some of the construction I was assured they were for the pool.
Guess what? no pool but another block which is now deemed illegal and under investigation.
Luckily we still have a view but my resulting email last year pointing out the discrepancy has been ignored.
Could go on and on, luckily we avoided (just) nervous breakdowns over this whole scenario.

it started going wrong the day after ide paid the deposit.the agent arranged to pick me up at the hotel at 1 saying we would stop of for dinner on the way to the airport. they sent somebody else at 12. saying that chris mead was meeting other clients. my new driver went at 100 miles an hour to the airport leaving me there to wait for about 7 hours. since my returned i was pressured into taking there life time aftersales. which turns out to be a total waste of money threr web sight is absolute rubbish, of line for the first 3 months then when it was up and running they show you out of date photos or the same ones from a differtent angle.all sounds good on there tv station. ive had 2 phone calls since september and about 5 emails saying im the new coordinator or a new manager or this or that and ill be ringing you in the next couple of days to introduce myself,still waiting. last email was in december. werse the weekly update. plus they advertise themselves as the biggest and best in europe if that is the case why do they only take payment by credit card. use of a debit card doesnt work in spain they say. it works ok when paying for the inspection visit. ill finish on that, im starting to get annoyed now thinking about that 7 hour wait at the airport.

They were very, very unprofessional.They never returned my phonecalls or helped me get the information that I wanted. Basically they were in the developers pockets and were working on "Thier" behalf and not mine. They tried to keep us in the dark about everything and nearly had a fit when we told them we were not using thier solicitor to complete the sale. They knew that the developers were corrupt and that the build was illegal, but all they were concerned about was getting us to complete the sale so they could get thier commission!

Aftersales dept has some genuinely nice people but not enough to go around, mostly you're on your own and shouting loud to get noticed. Agents will lie about resale price to conceal their actual fee. We bought with them but they negotiated us into the ground at time of sale so that they got their 10%. The customer is a commodity, MRI always come first. Try to sell mortgage club, expensive aftercare and expensive furniture - taking money every step of the way -far too greedy to foster goodwill. Flash company cars and flash recruitment ads offering massive bonuses to numpties says it all.

We must have been extremely lucky the weekend we came to Spain to view, none of the usual sales force were available so we ended up with one of the directors who dealt with land aquisition and was not part of the sales force. Needless to say he was fab and helped us through the process finding us a perfect appartment to suit all of our criteria. This took 2 weekend visits.
The black marks for MRI came with their after sales service from Calahonda, this was useless and we decided we could do the job better and employed our own after sales assistance using a spanish home interia design consultant to source everything from people to come and clean to arranging tradesmen etc.
We also purchased a second property at the same time as our primary purchase with a view to selling before completion, this has turned out to be somewhat of a nightmare using MRI who have shown a distinct lack of interest throughout.Only at the 11th hour did they actually start and market the property for us despite months of discussions with them.I would not recommend the after sales team from MRI they get their money far too easily...........

Once we paid our deposit ont he offplan development he took us to, he appeared to lose interest. My biggest gripe was that MacAnthony made such a big deal about the preferential lettins/property management deal they gave clients who bought through them, when we completed they didn't want to know. Infact the manager of the rentals dept was extremely negative running down the fact that the development was not on the coast, near a beach etc. They were more than haopy to extol it's virtues when it came to selling the property. www.solandalusi.com
