The agent is typical of a secondhand car ,dodgy double glazing, direct sell kitchen or pension salesman - who tell you only the information needed to obtainyour signiture to obtain their commision and withold actual information which would preclude you from signing. We were told by this agent and the builders Sales Director that the full permissions would be received in 2 weeks and work would commence immediately. 4 years later they still do not have permission. Worse still is the amount of lies that are prepared to tell to keep you dangling on - that is when they do reply, but mostly only when you have to go to the trouble to go to Spain to confront them. Even after the contract date had expired it cost us about 3000 euros with a new solicitor and 9 months to obtain the refund of our deposit -50% of the build cost. The agent duped us into every trick you should miss -no guarantee against our funds, using their preferred Solicitor and bank -all of which would not act against their favoured client. The builder must be sat on millions of euros of clients deposits - all unsecured.
