A Semi- detached Cortijo. You will find a large kitchen/dining room/family bathroom,living room and 2 bedrooms downstairs. Upstairs there is another bedroom with 2 single beds and a separate room with a sofa bed. There are 2 wood burning fires. There are views of the Lake of Castril and the Sierra Nevada
The Cortijo is set in the National Park of Castril, so if your looking for peace and quiet look no further.
Castril is a beautiful mountain village situated at the foot of a steep rock. The river Castril runs through a mountain range whose peaks reach over 2000 m. This trail begins at Cortijos del Nacimiento, which is in the Natural Park. Some colonies of the griffon vulture can be found in the cliffs, along with sightings of the golden eagle and wild boar. The cusine is influenced by Andalusian and Muslim.You will find olive oil is the best in the area. The village offers, communal pool, medical centre, chemists, 3 supermarkets, several bars and restaurants, tourist office and a taxi rank. There is also a very good bus service from Jaen to Alicante.You will also find, horse riding, rock climbing, canoeing, fishing at the local trout farm, swimming in the lake,birdwatching and cycling. An ideal location for the outdoors. Towels and bed linen will be provided. We can also arrange for you to be picked up to and from the airport. Granada airport is about 1hour 15 minutes away. Malaga. Murcia and Almeria are roughly 3 hours away. If you need food supplies we can arrange that for you. So bring your walking shoes and back pack and experience rural Spain!!!
